Sadly we had the same national jury for nearly 20 years!!! so a lot of vanilla was sent, now with a younger national jury we now are sending something reflecting our mythology mixed with some metal and pop. Bambi, well they truely embody a daoineshee (Spirit person in irish mythology, who screams when death is near!) and the dancers look like Pucca (Mischievous spirits who are shape changers in Irish mythology). Now the stage is tiny in RTE and the Audio was badly mixed but compared to the other options we had, the public voted for some darkness to balence the vanilla we have sent for years!
Absolutely hearing everything you’ve just said, about time the juries took a risk because Ireland’s Junior Eurovision entries recently have been putting the main contests choices to shame! And definitely noted about the stage size, Bambie did great with the stage she had to work with! Here’s to a great end product in May 🤞🏼💚
