Hi there! Yes the seats were very comfortable. I was also worried about my back when taking these buses in Japan but I was so wrong. They made very frequent rest stops every 1.5 h or so. At each stop we had 15-20 minutes to stretch out and buy some snacks. It was super fun and comfortable way to travel. Hope that helps :)
