Our honeymoon may be coming to a close, but there’s no better way to end it than by diving into the heart of Kyoto! 🌸 Join us as we explore quiet temples, taste some of the best gyoza in Japan, and soak up the charm of Kyoto’s streets. This vlog is packed with hidden gems, cultural discoveries, and a few surprises along the way!
Chao Chao Gyoza 🍽️
Our first food stop was Chao Chao Gyoza, and while the menu looked promising, it didn’t quite meet our expectations. But don’t worry, we’ll show you an even better spot later!
Byōdō-ji (Inaba-dō) Temple 🏯
This hidden gem offers blessings for safe travels and connects you to Kyoto’s deep history. Founded in the 10th century, this quiet temple is a must-see for history lovers.
Bukko-ji Temple 🧘‍♀️
Off the tourist path, Bukko-ji is perfect for a peaceful escape. Dating back to the 13th century, this beautiful temple will transport you back in time.
Takase River 🌊
Flowing through Kyoto, this charming river is lined with cozy cafés and restaurants, creating that quintessential Kyoto vibe.
Gion Soy Milk Ramen Uno Yokiko 🍜
A must-try for soy lovers! This spot offers the best vegetarian and vegan ramen, with a creamy soy milk broth and gyozas that were hands down the best we had in Japan!
Yasaka Shrine ⛩️
With over 1,300 years of history, Yasaka Shrine is an iconic Kyoto destination. Its bold red gates and peaceful grounds offer the perfect mix of culture and tranquility.
Fukueido 🍡
Craving sweets? Fukueido’s traditional Japanese treats are the perfect accompaniment to a cup of green tea. Each bite is a piece of Kyoto tradition.
Issen Yoshoku 🍳
This quirky, one-dish restaurant offers a fun experience you just have to see for yourself! Even though we didn’t try the okonomiyaki, the atmosphere alone was worth it.
We’re wrapping up this Kyoto adventure, but stay tuned! In the next video, we’ll be visiting the famous torii gates, enjoying a rickshaw ride, and meeting an actual geisha! Don’t forget to subscribe and hit that notification bell for more honeymoon diaries from Japan! 🎥✨
