I've already found a new job AND a new home, so here's to yet another attempt! Some people are stuck in horrible situations that require luck, money and privilege that they don't have, so I'm grateful that I have had countless opportunities to say, Absolutely not! and attempt to reset my life. If you're going through a difficult time, I hope positive change is around the corner!

You've been through it girl 😢 it's good you stood your ground and left. All the best with your journey, I also want to mention that the podcast is a great idea👍🏽

Thank you so much for your comment! I'm so glad I left! I'm literally going out for drinks with my manager right now - I'm so much happier! I would consider a podcast with video in the future! Just need the equipment haha

I LOVE that you are so comfortable with quitting! Onto better things. (I am so sorry you went through all of that)

Thank you! I used to shame myself for it and force myself to tough it out so that people didn't think of me as a quitter...but when you're sacrificing yourself for a JOB?! of which there are billions?? A quitter is what I'd rather be! 😆 I've been at my new job for 8 months now and I'm much happier here! ☺️👍🏾 Knew there was better out there!

This was tough even to hear, so I can only imagine how terrible these things were to actually endure 😢 We Black women hardly have space in this world to exist without harassment smh

Yet yall choose countries that make it clear how they treat women and darker skinned ppl. Superb logic

Look at how Black people, women and immigrants are being treated in diverse countries like the US, the UK and Canada then come back and tell me that Black people, women and immigrants are treated better there 100% of the time. Don't tell me where we should go because as Black people, even in AFRICA, we face discrimination. Hush your mouth.

I didn't even mention everything but it was a lot, especially after my last work experience 🥺 I just want to do my job, go home, and get paid. My race, gender, and certainly no white man should be hindering that urgh

I grew up in the UK and got bullied for being Black a few times. One bully was a white girl whose surname was LYNCH. You can guess what her ancestors were doing. The UK are the OG oppressors. Don't forget that.

@@smb. I’m not just talking about racism though. Sexism and misogyny affect us everywhere in the world, regardless of if we’re the “minority” or not. Home culture or foreign, Black women are subject to maltreatment.

Jeez, that doesn't sound like a great place to work. I'm glad you left and I hope your next job will be much better.
