Kenya has 46 tribes and over 68 local languages. You have to search them. They are grouped into the Nilotic, Cushitic and Bantu people. Maasais are Nilotic. Kenya is very diverse when it comes to ethnicity. Kenya shares tribe with Tanzania, Uganda, Somalia and Ethiopia and the Kenyan Coast has people of mixed heritage-Coastal Bantu mixed with Arab and Persian heritage. Kenya is a very interesting country. You have to traverse all regions of Kenya to get the full picture.

True, Kenya is better for it. What surprised me is that we also don't talk about the little stuff we do, like the Modogashe Declaration (III) adopted all of afrika for better. The little issues matter too.

A lot of masai morans are tour guides themselves and drivers especially in the private conservancies. Most of those conservancies sit on masai and samburu clan land and therefore its a form of self employment.

The Maasai's didn't start a long time ago to be tour guides. But I am happy the educated ones decided to venture into this career and am also sure they make good money out of it because it is all about domestic and international tourists. I am just excited to see this generation of Maasai's are getting an education for themselves and are willing to open up their horizons a little more and not just sticking to their deep cultures. So proud of them. So to answer you @The Demouchets REACT, that masaai warrior guide is educated for sure. His English is also good too, can be understood by foreigners. That's a cool thing.

You have to be quiet when approaching the animals otherwise you will startle them and they'll run off that's why they were whispering. The Maasai and Samburu are part of the wildlife conservation culture by virtue of these parks being on their ancestral land and that's why they get visited and they've maintained their traditions more than the other tribes.

Maasai's are very interesting people.. they get to go to school and see the urban life but because they are so in love and in sync with their culture some of them go back and not only keep in touch with it but to preserve it, nature it and make sure the rest of the world can go there and see it from their perspective and in their own words. i went to university with some of them and they are one of the most interesting people you can ever meet - big up Leshan(he watches your videos) - so its not a rare sight seeing some of them as tour guides, hoteliers etc. anyway you guys are an amazing couple and i love your channel

What people do not know about Kenya and Africa in general is that you are invited... people have to spend in hotels only for their class and confidence of their security... but if one builds trust with the right people, Africa is home to everybody. There are different tribes in kenya.. the maasai and samburu people are almost one and the same.. but different language.. There is Kikuyu, Meru, Kamba, Mijikenda, Luo, Luhya, Somali, Borana,Oromo and many others. Am sure there are videos to dive deeper about our people❤. Also the video had parts that we couldn't hear anything.. i don't know if it was just me

The fruit @15:15 is called the sausage fruit from the sausage tree. Locally called muratina tree. Used to brew a local alcoholic drink called muratina. Elephants eat it and get drunk from it.

Most of the Maasais in the Mara are the ones doing tour guides. Some of the Will wear their traditional clothes and some just normal clothes. And also, never be afraid of the safari, those animals won’t eat you. But you have to be quiet around them. Even tour guides switch off their engines.

About the sausage shape tree, thats a tree inthe cucumber family that with outer surface removed those seeds form a loofah which has practical the same fabric that what y'all use for taking a bath nowadays.its actually crazy than in most parts of kenya ,you don't even need to plant it,it may just pop us as a weeds especially around fences

Maasai are more seen because they are plain Nilotes, they are herders so they live in Savannah grasslands, they are not farmers, Kenya Bantu tribes(Agikuyu, Akamba,Ameru, Aembu, Ambeere, Taita, Mijikenda, Abaluhya, Abagusii, etc ) Are farmers so they do not live in Savannah grasslands (plains) but in hills and mountainous areas(Highlands) They are very welcoming and definitely African Americans have same DNA with this bantu tribes Just research Bantu tribes in Kenya
