Some years ago all those services worked perfectly. Traffic lights worked, every house and business had a trash can that was collected twice a week by the city, water was safe to drink directly, drainage worked, small scale traders had markets to work from, there were no electric and high fences, houses followed the building code, there was scheduled public transit etc. System failure is pretty recent.
Hi the video is awesome. As a kenyan living abroad just be careful with this scammers in kenya, they are everywhere from family members to random individuals. Just try to have one truthful friend to pull a plug for you whenever things ain't going well.
My first day in Kenya and it reminds me some of Ghana…all the trash thrown everywhere 😢 but the roads are most definitely better than Ghana ❤🙏🏽 mangoes are most definitely my fav…I loved buying them in Ghana and look forward to buying them here. I have not seen coconuts on the side the road yet. Is that common here?

The "shady bunch" is a significant potion of the population. Its ok to say that. That's why we can't stop electing criminals into office....because most of us are. Environmental hygiene is also a very annoying part of this country in general. Grown adults just littering everywhere. The government does take a significant blame in this by not providing appropriate waste disposal mediums but still.

Great honest video!!! I'm from Kenya (Mombasa Island)...now for the noise issue, you said there are clubs near by so that might be your issue right there. Hopefully you can move somewhere a little more quieter.
About trash is something we need to work on .... What i like about kenya is the people are always helpful.but you have to be careful of shady people but its all over the world but it teaches you alot especially you have leaved abroad .
That's not "black people time", it's like this in many other countries. There's the term "Hispanic time" too but these things are not unique to blacks or Hispanics. It's just how it is in many other countries.

I have a way to drink Mango tea. Just peel it and then boil it. Don't add milk just as is or tea , coffee , chocolate. It's sweet as is. Natural hot mango drink. Drink it with bread. You need to get to mainstream media with a TV series you will do well. I have a idea. 🤎 you

Nairobi and trash is crazy.....trash collection is a multimillion business and the corruption there is just insane....they collect billions in taxes a day yet they can't buy enough trucks for cleaning...

Please stay away from unsafe areas, be it neighborhood, nightlife etc. There is always a better place where you can have fun and live in peace. I am from SA but I know that Africans generally are peaceful people but you will find scumbags in any country🙂.
