Oh nice Disorientation. So far it’s been very polarizing. I hadn’t heard about that controversy at all. Wild. Can’t imagine someone just waking up and being like I think I’ll just tell people Asians have opportunities by pretending to be one. Haha creative writing not punctuation. I love it. Especially after just reading something that used en dashes for literally all punctuation except a full stop lol no wonder it was polarizing. Ohh minor feelings, I have that in the Libby queue! Fantastic stuff as always!

@@nathansnook that Harry Potter and the cursed child play. It’s just all really awkward en dashes. I read a queer fanfic with Remus and realized I never read it, because people said it was real bad. So despite owning it I just never read it and then I did read it and people are right: it is terrible lol laughably so. And ironically reads like fanfiction. Yeah! I’m excited for Minor Feelings!

I think this is my favorite vlog of yours yet! So much passionate grumbling for the clunkiness of Disorientation and rage against the umpteenth time being asked how much money you make by relatives (i feel you). Happy stalking! 🤗

I finished Beverly by Nick Drnaso. It's a graphic novel by the same creator of Sabrina which was longlisted for the Booker a few years ago. It was a nice change of pace for me. Are you into graphic novels? I'm currently reading French Exit by Matt DeWitt, a cheeky comedy of manners. It reminds me of the works of Evelyn Waugh. I have so many of Eve's books but I keep saving them up 😅 Which would you suggest as an intro? lots of love from Trinidad :) ♡

adding Beverly to my tbr!!! i love the art! i haven't heard of French Exit, but i love a q funny book hehe for Eve, i definitely recommend Slow Days, Fast Company, which encompasses her very persona and style into very digestible vignettes! and welcome! glad to have you here ^0^

New adult is a new category that publishers have invented recently. From what I understand it's erotica written in the same level of complexity and style as YA. Basically YA but with some sex.

New adult fiction sounds fake to me haha

right??? if that's the case, Disorientation should be considered YA lol
