Pettah Market was Crazy!! and we loved it 😊 In this vlog we roamed the streets of Pettah Market and tried Sri Lankan food for the first time and it did not disappoint. Everyone was so helpful and friendly and made us feel welcome.

The coconut you bought is called King Coconut. They’re used to have a nice taste. You should try them on a small village shop while you travel around. They got fresh ones.

In this video they showed only one place of colombo which is called pettah market (the busiest place in all Sri Lanka, you can buy anything and everything from there, that’s why it’s always busy) other parts of Colombo is quite nice and modern and not going to be crowded like this. May be there’s a part 2 of this video, I hope 🤞

The first fruit you tasted was guava and then Sri Lankan (veraḷu) olive .Everything in the box in common are called pickles.( accāru)😊 The first thing you tasted was the samosa, then the egg rolls. The orange colored fruit is called king coconut. There are many beautiful places to walk in Sri Lanka. Come here again and walk everywhere. Nice to see you both. Julie is very pretty. It is nice to see that you guys enjoy the street food. Try small cup of yogurt, ice cream, a bottle of chocolate/vanilla milk, or a cup of chai (tea + milk + sugar) after eating spicy food. That orange coconut is native to SL. It is called Tabili (King coconut). It does not have a hard nut like in regular coconut. It is full of coconut water and very soft edible shell.
