I traveled in Morocco 11 years ago we traveled from Casablanca to Marrakech over the Atlas Mountains. It is truly beautiful and the ppl were lovely. actually went to all the places mentioned.
The circular things are tanneries. These are the pools where they soften the animal skins to make leather, and where they dye the leather different colors. The smell is really bad, so they will give you a handful of mint to hold to your nose if you visit. The leather goods in Morocco are of an excellent quality and the prices are a bargain.
My sister spent two weeks in hospital on return from Morocco. Food poisoning. They went horse back riding. She was an experienced horse owner. The horse she described as half broken and an inexperienced rider wouldnt have stood a chance. Their hotel room was ransacked. They had their money and docs in body belts under their clothes. Her advice to me, if you value your life, don't go anywhere like it. She never stepped out of Europe, Australia and New Zealand for holidays after that. 1990s

I mean 1990 isn't the best year to visit morocco and ofc now it's 2023 not the 90s or the 80s things have changed so much over the years morocco is now better than you think also you gave little info you didn't say wich hotel nor which cities she visited I mean even comparing morocco in 2014 and morocco now is big difference
