Alana Dunsmore took us to the Federal Mosque of Kuala Lumpur to learn more about Islam!
We've been looking forward to this video for such a long time and today it finally happened! When we first met in September during Malaysia day, we have been in contact with Alana since and have always talked about the idea of doing a video together.
Today is the day it happened, and what better place to visit than the Federal Mosque of Kuala Lumpur? Join us today as we get a personal tour from Alana and Abbas as they show us round a mosque which is really close to their hearts.

Exactly, it's such a shame the perceptions a lot of westerners have over Islam due to extremism in recent years, but we think that's the importance of visiting places like these, to learn and appreciate different cultures/religions! 🥰

Thank you! We would absolutely love to make Malaysia our home, but obtaining a visa is hard without getting full time jobs. If we could somehow obtain a digital nomad visa it would be perfect, but they require a certain threshold of income for that also 🥺

Did you know guys..the biggest..one of the most beautiful..n modern mosque in Mlysia? it is "the Blue Mosque" in Shah Alam.. 50 minutes from KL. You should try it..magnificient!

Jacob, you've seen the word Allah in Arabic (name of the one and only God for the Muslim in Islam) on the ceiling of the dome. Allah has other name attributes in Asmaul Husna (the 99 names of Allah), the 1st t is Ar Rahman, most compassionate and the 99th is As Sabur, most patience. 😀

In Al Quran, it's mentioned that Adam, and then Eve, were created with the breadth of Allah (Asmaul Husna), the power of Allah bestowed to all human being, Muslim or non Muslim. In Al Quran, it's mentioned that Allah in His Heaven asked the Angels to bow to His creation, Adam and Eve, and they did, but when Allah asked the Iblis, Satan and Djin to bow to Adam and Eve, they refused thinking they are more superior. So they plot a plan to trick Adam and Eve to disobey Allah, by picking the fruit of forbidden, telling Adam and Eve that by picking the fruit they'll enter to a higher heaven. By that, all of them being sent to earth for a new life. And by that, the descendants of the Iblis, satan and djin, forever blame Adam and Eve for their own wrongdoings. C'est la vie. 😀

Last but not least, in Al Quran, there's Surah (chapter 36) called Al Yasin, it's been said to be the heart of Al Quran. Ya Sin is an art of all Allah's prophets, apostles and messengers, to bring glad tidings and guide their followers to the rightful, to the successful ways of living. Islam in Al Quran promotes ultimate independence in life, to always protect us free from the whispers of all evils doings and the devils hidden presence. 😀

It's so interesting how the roots of many religions stem from the same base, such as Islam, Christianity, Judaism etc. It's half of the reason I hate the amount of war/hatred between religions.

Abbas said the woman needs to go the head of the household to clean their soul but this isn't true. Women just simply do not have as much religious (ritual) obligations. The husband cant forgive sins but God alone. Intercession is a controversial topic it just depends on the situation. The husband intercedes by praying for his family, only God forgive sins.

I think it's a slight misunderstanding. Abbas did actually mention to me during the day that only Allah could forgive sins in his eyes, but I think the way he was describing this at the time just came across wrong. I do it all the time whilst on camera, but have the magic of editing to make a second take. Abbas was really knowledgeable in honesty ☺️

Next to Pasar Seni station is our National Mosque with the star-shaped dome. This Wilayah Mosque is further away from the city centre. There's also another called Masjid Jamek near the river of life area (where the 2 rivers meet).

@@DisappearforDaysdid you wear short above the knee ( I may have missed it ) ? If yes, that explained. If you wore pants with short sleeve shirt you are good to go without having to put on that dress.
