We're finally starting our series of our time in Malaysia, filmed during New Years 2024. ( Catching up on editing videos)This was one of our top cities we visited in our 1 year of full-time world travel! We just finished our series on the Beautiful Philippines 🇵🇭 so if you missed that series, check it out! ❤😊
@UmaY00ska We did Manila, Bohol and then Sipalay to get a more local, less touristy experience. We will be coming back to see Cebu, Boracay, and Palawan next trip to the Philippines! Don't worry, we have a lot more to explore and plan to make trips there every year! ❤️😊🇵🇭
It’s been 10 years since I visited Malaysia. I forgot how clean the streets are, how good the food is, and how everyone effortlessly speaks English. I should have returned sooner.
That wasn't beef that you guys ate at the food court in KLCC. "Paru-paru" means "lungs". You guys had beef lung most likely. It looks like beef but isn't. That's why the texture is different and drier than actual beef. Glad you guys enjoyed your time here in Malaysia!
@@WorldFamilyExplorers its definitely not chicken lungs we don't eat that. Its beef lungs ( Did you know the US banned all lung products its an old law cuz the fear of tuberculosis back then ) what you shoulda had is the Beef Rendang.
KL is such a beautiful and modern city. From KL you could rent a car and drive to Genting Highland, a resort on top of a 1800m high mountain, an hour driving from KL with excellent road. The weather is super nice up there. From KL you could also drive for 4 hours (highway all the way - most of it) to Kuantan, a town blessed with very beautiful beaches within its vicinity.
We are returning to KL in December, and we want to see more of the surrounding area as you suggest. We should rent a car to see these places, that is a great idea thank you! 😊
This was filmed January 2024.We will be coming to Malaysia again in December! KL and Penang will be our 2 home bases and we'll make trips from there. We also want to see Borneo! ❤️ 😊
@@WorldFamilyExplorers Borneo? As a local I've been to Sarawak once years ago. It's a little bit different over there but also very similar at the same time. Enjoy!!! See u again then on youtube!!
I love that park, had so much fun exploring + watching my kids cool off in the water. The aquarium, cinema + science center were so fun too. So convenient having mall food court beside the park. One day we got caught in a downpour at the playground + the slides became waterslides for my kids 👌
Hai you all.welcome to Malaysia.just want to tell you if you eat rice, you should scoop it using spoon not fork.much easier to scoop and put inside your mouth.we use fork to eat food like mee or spaghetti like that.and also thats not beef you take.its beef lung…hope you enjoy staying here in Malaysia and have fun and stay safe❤
@@WorldFamilyExplorers we Malaysians in general love kids. This world is no fun without kids running around playfully 😁. I have 7 kids myself plus 2 from my wife. 3 grandchildren and God Willing 2 more by end of this year. Anyway, kids are precious.
@@WorldFamilyExplorers wow😍.. that sounds good👍👍👍. But, if you come in December we're worried that certain states will experience flash floods, even major floods especially in Kelantan, Pahang, Kedah, parts of Johor & Terengganu. Anyway, on the West Coast there is less risk in coinsidenly the month of Christmas for your family... So, make sure you check the Local Weather Forecast before traveling around the country...enjoyyyy❣
Likes22. Enjoy the beauty of Kuala Lumpur guys. Maybe you love to go to the mountainous area and the tea plantation, Cameron Highland is the best. Also colder area. I Missed Kuala Lumpur ❤
Generally, it is hot and humid in South East Asia, usually overwhelming for children and older people from the cooler countries. Wearing hats and using umbrella are advisable under the scorching sun. Much cooler during monsoon season but of course, meaning heavy rains most of the time. Having many shopping malls in big cities is great to get the cooling temperature and to escape the hot and humid weather outside for a while. Malaysian food and drink are diverse and yummy! Enjoy Malaysia and do explore other parts or states in Malaysia
Thank you so much for the info! ❤️ We did spend 4 months in South East Asia, so we started to get used to the humidity. We are from Las Vegas, which is a desert climate, so we're used to the blazing sun and dry heat but not the rain and humidity. We actually came to enjoy the rainy days, and it was nice that there are so many amazing malls to escape the rain and heat! 😊 We also stayed in Ipoh and Penang Island Malaysia and loved the foid everywhere we were. We are returning to Malaysia to explore more in December! ❤️ 😊 🇲🇾
You could also visit Kuala Gandah Elephant Conservatory about 2 hrhs driving from KL and if you love the nature you may want to visit our Taman Negara National Park, one of the oldest tropical rainforest in the world
Nice video... Welcome to Malaysia 🇲🇾🌺. Although Malaysia is an Islamic country, the government celebrates the cultural diversity that exists in this country as long as it does not violate the constitution. May you find peace and benefit throughout your travels in Kuala Lumpur and other part of Malaysia. Always refer to authentic and official sources of information for all matters.
We are excited to share our adventures of exploring Malaysia and trying more new foods. We are going to have more future videos in KL, Ipoh, and Penang! ❤️ 🇲🇾
Hi, just want to acknowledge you guys that the rice and the "beef" you eat is actually beef lungs. Not beef meat. That is why it is not tender. It supposed to be a little bit chewy. But overall enjoy your stay in Malaysia.
Thank you for the info. We just found out recently that it was lung. That was our first time trying it! Thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed the video. ❤️ 😊
Thank you! This was our first time trying lung and we didn't even know it! We liked the spices and the preparation but it was a little tough. We chose it because the local in front of us did so we knew it was popular! 😊
We are working hard now to finish all our videos we already filmed in Malaysia in KL, Ipoh and Penang! We are already planning to be back in Malaysia again for Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year 2025! !❤️ 🇲🇾
@@WorldFamilyExplorers (only half joking...) betcha a durian tasting vid would bring in the views., especially with your positive vibes But seriously... I reckon Bak Kut Teh for Chris (Chinese but quite localised to Malaysia), Roti Canai or Fish Head Curry for Elly (Indian, ditto), and of course, the national dish of nasi lemak (watch out for the spiciness though!). For ease of use & comfort (from the humidity), a visit to the curated collection at Lot 10 Hutong would be quite nifty too during your next trip. (Psst.. Connor buddy, OJ with mango is the bee's knees)
@goodguyaus thank you for all the recommendations! We had deep-fried durian at a street market in KL, which will be in the next video, and we did try raw Durian in Ipoh, which will be in a future video... we didn't like it very much, unfortunately. It's hard for us to get past the smell! We actually already have all our videos filmed from KL , Ipoh, and Penang, but we still need to edit them all before they go on RU-vid. Putting out 2 a week! Hope you enjoy our videos, and I'm excited to release them all!
@@WorldFamilyExplorers Haha, yeah, I just got to the deep fried part (story) in your latest vid. 😁Suggested it 'cos Msians get a perverse kick outta the 🤮faces visitors make when inhaling durian, sorta like Aussies with Vegemite or Swedes with surstromming - and hoping it would boost your algorithm. Yup, enjoying them very much👌🏻, and have gone back for some previous ones eg. Philipines and 👍🏻
We didn't make it there but thank you for the recommendation for our next trip! We will be back in Kuala Lumpur soon since we put it on our list for repeat destinations! 😊
16:49 gosh your son gave me the fright of my life!😂😭. I was looking at the popcorn slowly disappearing underneath the caramel and shifted my attention to him and thought he was on the other side of the glass😭😭
Thank you for the clarification. We didn't know at the time it was beef lung but have learned since. Overall , we loved most of the food in Malaysia, but the lung was not our favorite. Thanks for watching 😊
Hi! Welcome to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia 🇲🇾 Hope you have a wonderful experience in our country In the meantime stay safe and stay bless Warmest regards from Selangor Malaysia 🇲🇾
The main races in Malaysia are Malays, Chinese, and Indians. But in Melaka, there's an ethnic called Kristang. They are a mix of locals and Portuguese that came in 1511. They can still speak Portuguese and have Portuguese cultures and celebrations. There's also Baba Nyonya somewhere in the country. They are basically Chinese but with Malay language and cultures. These are western or peninsula Malaysia. Eastern or bornean Malaysia however, is different story altogether.
Thanks you for the recommendations! We actually visited both already. The kids absolutely loved both ❤️ so impressed with this city so much to do with kids
@@WorldFamilyExplorers ...oh hi guys..., just about 3/4 of the way watching your latest video and getting ready to comment☺. And yes, IMHO KL is a goldilocks city, especially as a 'gentle' gateway entry for travelers who are interested in Asia.
Congratulations. I'm in SoCal and just like you, I'm planning to move to southeast Asia to eventually retire I'm Cambodia. My in-laws live there. I'm working now to save enough.
Thank you! We have been loving SE Asia! Cambodia is on our list because we want to see the largest temple in the world there, Angkor Wat! Best wishes on your move! 😊
You should go to food court in basement..there more cheap price and more stall..alots of food n baverage from all country in the world..should ask from local people where it is..
Im Native Dayaks from East Malaysia, the population of christian in malaysia is more than 10%, actually is 50% or 60% or more atcually if total, and the rest is Budha, muslim, bahai and etc..
Thank you so much for the info, we're learning that Malaysia is even more of a melting pot of different cultures and religions than we originally thought, which is a beautiful thing. ❤️ 😊 🇲🇾
@@WorldFamilyExplorersGenting Highlands is the Las Vegas of Malaysia. It has Casinos. Indoor and outdoor amusement parks and a large variety of eateries. It also has the world's biggest hotel with a total of 7,351 rooms. You will experience life living among the clouds, with clouds brushing past you. If you take the bus from Kuala Lumpur, it takes less than an hour to get to the Cable car station. From there you can enjoy a steep and fast ride on the Cable car (gondola) to reach the summit where all the pleasure and fun activities are located.
Thank you! 😊 Others told us, but we didn't know until we released the RU-vid video. We were trying something new and didn't even know it! Thanks for watching! ❤️
Malaysia is great for a family vacation or to retired/settle down.. while Thailand and Philippines more like for someone who want a party vacation, to have fun and be wild 😅
We went to Thailand as well, and we agree that Malaysia is more family friendly. We had to be careful what areas we took the kids in Thailand because of the party scene but still loved it there as well! We plan to go to Malaysia at least 3 months every year and are coming back December to February, which we are excited for! ❤️
@hadeqhad5474 We love this way of thinking! It does feel like we are anticipating coming back home because we felt so comfortable during our stay in Malaysia and we plan to spend a portion of our time there every year. We have decided to full-time travel indefinitely and Malaysia will always be on the rotation! ❤️ 🇲🇾
Waiii sekarang bulan 8 kan... Christmas bulan 12 😅 awal betul dia org deco....biar betul😂 Malaysia is a holiday country for families, as well as for children to learn about living together in different races and religions
@milasaaid6850 Our apologies on the late video, we traveled to 13 countries in one year, and we are way behind on finishing our editing. We loved Malaysia so much that we are coming back for another 90 days in December! ❤️ 😊
