A short video about the local currency (the CFP Franc) and some souvenirs I've bought the boys. I actually have some of the older paper currency back home as she passed through here a few years ago.
All the info here, so I won't repeat it:

The Pacific Franc is used in French Polynesia (i.e. Tahiti), New Caledonia and Wallis and Futuna. The lowest value in circulation is the ₣5 coin and the highest is the ₣10000 note.
It's pegged to the Euro at ₣1000 = €8.38, or €1 = ₣120.
Other conversions (as at 14-Mar-2023):
AU$1 = ₣75
US$1 = ₣111
£1 = ₣135
₽100 = ₣146
Looking through some supermarket (Carrefour) receipts ... (AU$ prices)
Petrol (98) = ₣171/L ($2.30/L)
Large Big Mac meal = ₣1370 ($18.42)
1.5L Tahitian Cola = ₣310 ($4.13)
1L Coke (locally bottled) = ₣295 ($3.93)
1.5L local water = ₣86 ($1.15)
250mL Red Bull = ₣390 ($5.20)
1L 100% pineapple juice = ₣500 ($6.67)
450g (15 slices) smoked turkey = ₣1825 ($24.33)
Local tomatoes = ₣695/kg ($9.27/kg)
160g (10 slices) emmental cheese = ₣410 ($5.47)
Imported onions = ₣275/kg ($3.67/kg)
Imported oranges = ₣375/kg ($5/kg)
Tahiti is apparently known for its black pearls so I bought some cheap ones (₣900/$12 each) for the boys, plus some oyster shells (₣1000/$13.33) from the market.
