Yeah, we're in the video haha. Hey Mr. Scotty, I'm one of the kids who waved at you near Wadmall. Have a safe trip. and hope to see you again on your next bike adventure. Take care.
Fellow Canadian here. My first visit to Tacloban was in March/2005. Came back in Sept./2005 and got married. Have lived in Tolosa, Leyte for 15 years now. Know the area very well.
Scotty not a lot of Foreign blood stays here on island, Many married up here then head back, I am living here, Real advice to you, If you like it here, and hook up with local, Stay very open to culture, Don’t every push your ways always travel with a local, especially after dark, This cruel Country Bro untamed, Now Army Everywhere because so much ambush and Killing. You buy a place get real tight with Neighbors and Community and you’ll be very happy forever, You be good to of them, You are a their Guest, Keep that in mind always, God Bless
Phone filters - the bane of a mans existence 😂 Good to see you finally have the bike. A new dawn for the channel begins. Did you have much riding experience before you got it?
Hi Scotty. Mate hows the bike holding up, are you comfortable with it, does its meet your necessity? Stay safe on the bike, remember to slip some sunscreen on. Cheers 🍻 from Australia 🇦🇺
@@Regular_Guyph Is it more or less the same feeling as trying to tame the rough raw brutal powers and energies of wild freely wandering horses that are likely to try to topple or smack you off as soon as the chance comes up, when you have just set yourself up for some nice enjoyable horseback riding ? But what is it about with that absolute declaration of Love for N.Max. from your side, while that many days over there in NaVaL? Is that the code name we have to work our way through? For that lovely local Biliran Naval Dame who presented herself as N(aughty) MAX(ine) to you and kept you binded quite long with hands full On The Spot ? And now you cannot tell us or are not Allowed to share anything about it. (L.o.L). Oohh mymymy, noble Scott of Scotts, you are raging your way through good old probincia Leyte/bili/Samar. Who can keep up with you? Do not let a good real pure love at heart slip through your fingers.
@@Regular_Guyph I agree that the filtered pics on FB vs real life looks are a bit disappointing. In person looks does not live up to the beauty of their filtered pics. LOL
@@Regular_Guyph Scotty, you're a gentlemen. I like your style. Hope you find your perfect Filipina and settle down to a life of contentment. Be careful leaving your bike box exposed like that - it tempts thieves.
Very nice, Scotty Boy! Looks like you're speeding on the highway. Have a safe ride, and your backpack storage is full. Just be careful about the thieves.
Wow man, your channel has definitely levelled up big time! The bike adventures make for great content. A trip on a bus isn’t the same as the freewheeling bike adventures.
You are wise to take your time... Keep on traveling... enjoy yourself.... Check out the places... Eventually you will find a place you like.... Then you will find a good one.....
@@Regular_Guyph Yeah Scott... Just keep up what you are doing.. Many of us western guys have the same goals to find a natural beauty soft gentle hearted Filipina.. Follow your heart and mind. You are doing great and buying the scooter was a great decision... Cheers man...
@@Regular_Guyph keep in mind, noble Scott of Scotts, the more lovely and suitable ones you are exposed to and meet/see/speak, the more complicated and numerously confusing the eventual choice becomes. Then people force themselves to finally dare to make the choice and then finding out some time after to have often just been choosing the wrong one out of a whole presented circus revue chain of possibilities, over the passing of time. Your best approach most near to your true soul, follow the compass of the heart but let the mind constantly fuel your inner engine drive on essential feeding to be able to head on and go forwards.
WORST PART IS THE PHILIPPINES PEOPLE DO NOT RESPECT OR CARE AND SURELY SHOW NO SIGNS OF GRATEFULNESS OR GRATITUDE FOR THE FOREIGN MEN LIKE MY FAMILY MEMBERS THAT DIED AND ARE BURIED THERE. THOSE THAT FREED THEM FROM THE JAPANESE AND GIVE THEM THEIR INDEPENDENCE.
Everyone involved fully bumped in to one another. There was no evading or hiding out or laying low possible. Scott received the whole treatment. He might have family members tailing him now on his bad motor scooter.
Hey SB.. I was in Philippines for 8 months in 2021. I rode mtb with the locals. Saturday and Sundays were 6 hr rides.. I was burnt and exhausted with short sleeves and shorts. I quickly adopted their clothing. Light long sleeve, neck guard and covered my legs with shorts and long socks. I also froze a water or gatorade bottle that would slowly unfreeze giving me a nice cold drink for hours. As you know, that sun in PI is brutal. Dress like the locals and youll feel alot better on the long rides
Scotty, You're right. Cafe Lucia in Tacloban looks like a touch of Paradise in a world of turmoil that is anything but. It is great to see you out and about meeting with subscribers on your biking journey. The fidelity of your audio-visual setup is distinctly improved as well. I suspect from my RU-vid viewing that there may well be some expat vloggers in the Phillies who are envious of Scotty Boy's interviewing prowess and storytelling capabilities. Some vloggers have no such intellect, skills sets, or talents whatsoever in that regard. Some Philly vloggers expertise appear to be seeking clickbait - as trolls -- their specializing in tearing down other expat vloggers (your having nearly 49K subs, so far...) rather than producing any otherwise useful and worthwhile content to help others, thus trying to "out Barangaying the Barangays" so to speak. Like some of your other subscribers out there, I am looking forward to how your content evolves, once you decide to "settle down" and build your home in the provinces, wherever that may be in the Land of Smiles, and for whatever reasons you so choose to make your home in the Phillies. Godspeed. Peace.
Friendliest people ever in those small towns. The trike driver you accidentally blocked was just something else. He refused your money, even though 50 cents is really nothing to us in the US. Very kind of you to offer it to him, though.
Uncultured guy offered the money with his left hand, thats considered very disrespectfull in many cultures. Especially with handling money, the triker driver handled that very kindly because he's ignorant.
I'd agree but then again I am sure Scotty Boy looks like his profile pics. I gotta tell yer, she obviously doesn't so she's not been truthful about being a baberoonie.
bad is that if you don't get after market stuff there are better bikes such as the pcx and the adv.... the pro is that nmax has the most amount of after market stuff so you can design it exactly how you want and i realized while driving that a 150 is so much better than a 125
I was hoping you would have chosen an adv or adventure bike with more cc's. I know you had the same thought. Still the Nmax is very nice and it opens up new adventures. Rock on Scotty boy.
Hey Scotty boy, don't worry too much about your interviewing skills. The thing is, you have a great fan base. Probably one reason is because you have a nuanced way of doing things. If you become very skilled, will we get the same Scotty boy? Having said that, some things can be improved. The phone on your bike, for instance, does block the forward view somewhat 👍🏻
Scotty boi, please calm down. You have to make yourself, you don't realize how intense you get. I am the same way sometimes and have to watch out for it🤣🤣. Thanks for taking us along. Be safe.
I am very jealous of your life. Touring a third world country would get old after a while, but it would be a great experience for a short spell. In the end all we have is our memories. Might as well go gather them while we can.
What is this video being filmed on? It seems so blurry compared to others that daily vlog. I’m new to this channel and Would like to watch more but the footage seems like the quality is lacking.
The spontaneous element and not being overly (pre-) organised and hardly showcased as fake(cooked well ahead) live settings make up for many tech quality aspects flaws though.
Scotty you keep diving for the cold water. Stop. Look up drinking room temp water. In part "...between 50 and 72 degress is what is generally preferred and what is optimal for allowing the body to absorb water and rehydrate". For years as pretty high level runner I always drank roo temp water for rapid rehydration. I still do, even on the hottest days.
Hi Scott. Had a few motorcycles in my younger years. I'll bet you're really enjoying the freedom of having the ability to just hop on your Yamaha NMAX and just "go."
Interesting video Scotty. I noticed that the ocean water was not clear, and seems cloudy, I wonder if they have sewage treatment plants in those Philippine cities or do they dump raw sewage directly in the ocean?
At 2:30… Scotty: Do you have a big one?” Isn’t that her line Scottomundo?!! Haha You’re the best Scotty boy. Believe me, if I was a multimillionaire I’d had already sponsored you for your own show. Keep up the great work.
Great Blog. Always enjoy Scotty Boy, but you keep getting better and better at what you do. Adventure! Next trip, I must do a little traveling, and maybe rent a scooter. Stay safe young dude.
I like the travel views, just too much wind sound. Please always drive safe. Scott, will you return to Davao soon? I could use an update about this city. I have started an LDR and I could use your recommendations for eating and hotels. Thanks my friend.
@@Regular_Guyph1. Her mom knows you're making a video. Will probably watch you 'dog' her daughter. 2. Wrong of her, yes, but not necessary to 'dog' her in front of the world.... I saw what you did with David Bond's girls. More of the same here.
@@Regular_Guyphwell look tbh you don’t look any better but unfortunately foreigners are overrated and admired in the Philippines but still she looked way better than you dude 😅
Been wanting to see your new Nmax and how you have it setup, and also your new cameras too. Did you get the neck worn magnetic action camera holder? How do you like the setup, is there anything you want to change?
We do not really have signage or controlled traffic. With freedom comes great responsibility and also to quote a fantastic civil attorney. "Freedom is Scary"
Fuel is sold in liters along the road... a scooter 🛵 will go for ever on a few litres if I recall you can drive all day. Any way Scott has been consistently doing videos for quite a while. Congratulations for your success here Scott! Perhaps we should meet soon we are headed to Visaya.
Scotty’s Scooter ‘Scapades Strike Sagain. Try saying that after a few cold Korean Raspberry’s. Great vid. No kock fighting with filter gurly one I guess. What was the story with the 2nd girlies? Was the mum the cuter one?
Loved the video Scotty. Don't know if its possible....can you turn your phone upside down and clip it so its below the bar and leaving the view ahead totally clear. Safe travels my friend.
They were all High School, Scottie is getting better at not pissing off the audience that gets offended about age. But you have to be blind to miss those.
Great fun love the freedom/path your taking. I just want to know if your happy with your Nmax or would you have purchased something else in hindsight? I really also like the ADV 160 and still debating which bike I would buy this coming July.. Thanks keep the videos coming.. 👍
As an American, I’m often disappointed by the lack of effort Filipino vloggers from the west put into learning basic Tagalog phrases or native pronunciations. An occasional “may tubig ka ba?” etc. etc. goes a long way in the respect department. 🙂
It sinks in over time yet since English and Spanish are more popular it doesn't benefit Filipinos to speak a million tribal dialects. For me Salamat and Oo is sufficient. Asking what is your name is super difficult. Also Cuya is a nice one!!!
@@Regular_Guypha windshield will reduce your stress 0n your body. I don't mind a drive in town and a drive down the street but if you want to cover a few hours you need a windshield
@@GAMMASP8 What he said! It can divert the wind and make it a little less tiring riding distances. And the faster you ride, it won't feel like the wind is trying to peel you off the bike. I always had one on my bikes.
Hey Scotty … bike looks great … suggestion: get yourself some arm protection (they just slip on and made of light material) from the sun and wind burn. Safe travels!
As soon as you walked up to that place and the sounds, I just knew cockfighting was happening. While it wasn't legal on Maui, in Hawaii, it was prevalent. They would set up out of the way valleys or gulches among the trees. Usually in the back of old pineapple fields. They got huge and there would be dozens of vehicles parked in the roads, semi hidden. When you walk into the trees, it suddenly opens up to a full on fair type arrangement. They had generators, lights strung around. Little arenas for fighting and areas for the birds when not fighting. Concession stands were set up and the ground was raked clean of leaves and branches. It was fascinating to see. My parents ran a small store in the camp, similar to a burungai. After the fights, the old Filipino men would come and buy all the kids candy and soda and even just give money away. They believed if they gave it away, they would win more. It was great for our stores business and those lucky enough to be there.
When you ride a scooter in the PH, what do you do when you run out of gas? Because there's hardly any gas stations there, especially when you're driving through those provinces. Unlike the west there's a gas station on every block.
Hey Scotty. I've been waiting for your video of Biliran and Naval. My girl is from Biliran. I knew you would be in hotel Benjamin. There's really nowhere else 😂 but it's pretty good value honestly once you realise it's on the 3rd floor. I think I did 2 laps of the building before I found it. Was hoping you'd should a little bit more of Biliran island but still good to see it again. Can't wait to go back in around a month
@@Regular_Guyph check out Tomalistist falls for a relaxing day trip. Canaan hill farm is beautiful too. Start at the farm and then go soak in the falls and the sea to relax. It's a good place to bring your babearoony 😉
Thanks for opening my eyes up to the life in the Philippines. I had two relationships with Philippina's in the U.S., but unfortunately one had a drug addiction with abuse and the other left me. I was wondering what dating sites or services are trustworthy that maybe you use? Thanks again.
Are we having fun yet? I remember my days of 1000+ mile motorcycle rides. Look into getting a Roho Airhawk orthopedic seat cushion. Highly recommended. Stay safe.
Nothing like watching videos of young girls creeped out by the older guy not getting closer than 10 feet of him, and for all the people to see, the Philippines is not filled with beautiful women , just average looking. In the brightside at least the commissioner was wary of Scotty boy, doing his job.
So pumped to see new video. Bugged out Thursday from Manila to have more time in CDO. Love it here! Great price at teh gym and glad you oaid it a visit!!! I heard more efective to use the equipment while there. Have fun Bro!!
Enjoyed your work on this video, scoot looks good as well...... My grandfather was into cockfighting way back when, always loved the roosters he kept when i was a kid..
Hi Scotty! Was that first place a cockfighting ring? Sounded like an announcer and some kind of event. I agree about those damned filters. Your new "Scotter" looks well set up for what you're doing. Aww... I was hoping to see Carigara on this one. I know a babe-a-roonie there. Next time!
That is what must of the gyms in the Phils are went to so many only a few are modern with Air con and that's in The bigger foreigner friendly cities. Scotty needs to start working out.
Great video again! But why no gloves while riding? The old saying goes "dress for the slide not for the ride" I think Tacloban looks great! Hoping for more in the next video. When you went to the gym I was expecting "the great Tim K" to appear. Haha.
