Not really, everyone not in America is aware it's not a third world country. Most people learn this in education, well here in England anyway

@@Brian_The_Lion i agree. The new CBD in the Philippines like the BGC, looks a lot better than where I live (Ontario, Canada). And the malls are a lot bigger and fancier then ours here in Greater Toronto Area. The only difference is that Metro Manila lacks road signs specially Stop Signs on every corner, also doesn’t have the basic modern mass transit such as the City Buses that have organized bus routes and Stops. The only one you have there is the EDSA Carousel and ofcourse the LRT/MRT’s. But the bus system in the Philippines is still a 3rd world. Only in Clark City has the Clark Loop which is at par with our modern city bus systems. By the way, Philippines is technically not a 3rd world country anymore since the early 2000’s. Many countries from southeast asia including the Philippines became Newly Industrialized Country or the new 2nd world countries. Means, they already have advanced economies. Thats why i love the last 2 political leadership in the country who have finally even made it better, and most importantly they utilized the tax payers money. Investing heavily in infrastructure developments.

Sounds like you heard what I said about the bubble- it's seriously tiny compared to greater Manila, 98% of which looks completely out of synch with GBC. Your upbeat attitude will take you far, you have an easy voice to listen to. There's an opening / gap in the YTV marketplace of young expat entrepreneurs. Don't rush to invest in anything, just learn & soak up the knowledge around while living there in the peak business hub.

@@Ghekko-kw3zz98 percent? There are hundreds and thousands of high end and middle class villages respectively in the Philippines which clearly you haven't seen. There's also other modern areas like Makati, Ortigas, Filinvest, Asiana, Araneta, Eastwood, Capitol Commons, Bridgetowne, Vertis North and many more upcoming BGC-like enclaves in the future. Your place would look pitifully like 3rd world if all these projects are finished. 😊

There are 10 million Filipinos living outside the country. One of the largest diaspora in the world. Sending cash to their family which helps the country afloat and bringing their learned cultures back.

There are more of these bubbles in Metro Manila. I hope you can include them in your content. We have Makati CBD, Rockwell, Ortigas Center, Circuit Makati, Vertis North, Mckinley Hill, Filinvest City, Entertainment City, Libis, Arca South, Bridgetown, Newport City.

There are modern cities everywhere, but let us not be for a second deluded into thinking that the Philippines is a rich country when so many of our countrymen are suffering from hunger, lack of education and lack of healthcare. BGC is what we wish the Philippines looks like…but it is a small area of centralized wealth and power. 5minutes away from where these videos were shot are slums where Filipinos suffer. It is a sad reality we must come to terms with.

Central block in Cebu IT park is the same sort of bubble but the surrounding area isn't quite as bad. The bad news is that Cebu urban traffic is horrible. The good news is that you can find just about anything you could want within walking distance of Central Block.

first of all those people that are saying that BGC is just a bubble and this is the only place in manila that is developed, you guys are all wrong..there are a lot of CBD's in Metro Manila that has a similar concept with BGC, namely Makati City, Aseana City, Ortigas City, Eastwood City, Newport City, Alabang City, Greenfield District,Vertis North ...i can name more if you want😅..The Philippines is ranked 10th with the most skyscrapers in the world if you don't know... majority of the land in metro manila is composed of small to large scale subdivisions, those slum areas are just a tiny fraction of the whole metropolis.

Am sure Brian youre aware whats going on in diff states/cities of US like sta monica,san francisco,los angrles,NY to name a few.crime,homeless piled up in the streets of LA, SFO,,NY.Here in the Philippines yes there are homeless/crimes,but theyre isolated,cant find them in major cities.
