Hey guys! That buffet lunch experience by the waterfall looks absolutely amazing! We're happy to hear that you had such a fantastic time on your day tour at Villa Escudero! Here's to exploring more of the Philippines! 🇵🇭💙
Glad you guys are having a whale of a good vibes exploring our birth country. We are following you guys constantly so with Mom Duty & others as we’re heading home come Jan’24. Added to our bucket list! Keep safe and enjoy fresh buko ( coconut ) it’s refreshing & good electrolytes ❤.
I'm Australian and Villa Escudero is one of my favourite childhood memories. Used to go regularly as a kid when we visited family in Manila. I'm 40 now and I'm sorry to say I haven't been back to the Philippines in many, many years. Need to go back soon.
Thanks to this video you uploaded. Now, I know, we have that beautiful waterfalls in Quezon. Not so Familiar since im from Cebu area, Visayas region. Keep exploring and stay safe guys❤❤❤
Wow, great that you went to Villa Escudero! Been there 3x coz we always end up bringing our "balikbayan" friends and relatives there. It's like a theme park that shows the old rural way of life here. They also used to have an albino Carabao there too! (Not Caribou, that's different 😄.) It's actually Squash that we use here and not Pumpkins. Though i think they're of the same family. 🎃 And YES to the Boutique Resort! 👍👍👍
Caribou 🤦♀️ thanks! That clears it up because I kept saying that’s not a caribou but everyone was insistent that it was a carabao. Now it makes sense. 🙏
I strongly suggest you hook up with expat businessmen here before jumping into anything. The red tape here can be a big nuisance. Love your video, btw. Haven't been to Escudero in years.
Hi lockwoods fam. I suggest you to visit acuatico resort in batangas with momduty that place si super nice and sooo relaxing infinity pool is so nice and the beach is super nice as well feels so relaxing.
Woah!🤯 Now we know why you left BGC for the day. What a cool experience!!! OMG! Beautiful place! Thanks for showing us this unique and family day trip! Def want to go! Knox and Nia will love it!
Hell from L.A.California. Nice video.I have been to Villa Escudero twice. Love this place The first time on my honey-moon.Stayed in a room on the lake. The best thing there for me was the museum. Out of this world. Worth the trip a-lone.
Yes please start a boutique resort business with mom on duty. business collaboration with you guys. plenty of tourist from all over the world flock to the Philippines due to huge menu of touristy attractions.
Boutique hotel would be great 👍! You will have a passive income while doing what you like most. At the same time securing your future and helping a lot of Filipinos.
New subbie here. I like how you both did your research about the place and spoke about it to your viewers very clearly. Some vloggers I can't make out what they're saying.
New Filipino-Canadian subscriber 🥰 here all the way from the Land of Maple Syrup, Canada 🇨🇦 (I am also an avid subscriber of your family friend, MomDuty based from Philippines 🇵🇭) Our family so much appreciate your passion and enthusiasm in bringing out positivity and education to your audience as evidenced in your vlogs on your travels. Keep it up 👍 and Mabuhay 🇵🇭-🇨🇦
Definitely have a boutique hotel in the Philippines - please do visit my home town Negros Occidental. It’s Masskara Festival and it is worth the experience.
You guys are so fun to watch! I always look out for your new videos. I feel a tinge of pride for my country seeing you guys enjoy yourselves here, when you can obviously travel in Europe but instead you chose to spend your time here. Hope you keep enjoying the Philippines and please always take care! You are forever welcome here. ❤ PS: Big yes on the resort!
During May 15, every year, theres this Pahiyas Festival at Lucban, Quezon, you can search it up, maybe you can return again with the ocampos on May 15, 2024, its a called Pahiyas Festival. And you will surely enjoy it. Thank you ❤❤
*Fun fact: Talking about tribes. All pre-historic tribes of the Pacific(Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, New Zealand, Easter Islands, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, French Polynesian Islands) shares its roots from the Astronesian people from Formosa(Taiwan). Evidenced by their dire cultural similarities(head hunting practices, tattoos, religious practices), languages. There's also a study that verifies they shares the same dna. You guys should visit the former head hunter's village on the Northern mountainous province of the Philippines. You could also spend a night in Mt. Pinatubo crater on the way there.*
@@AlwaysBeChanging There's one I know located up north of Baguio city on the town of Banaue where the famous rice terraces is located with the museum of the cordilleras where head hunter's artifacts and their trophies preserved. They also allow trekking on the Banaue rices teracces and visit a falls. From there you could go up north to visit the famous hanging coffins of Sagada(bring trekking gears and cash as there's a limited amount of atm). From Sagada you could go down North East on the towns of Vigan and Laoag to visit some Spanish era towns and from there down south you could end the trip on La Union the surfing capital of Luzon.
Nice video. The Hidden Valley is nearby. You’ll get to see a real waterfall. Maybe next time. Yup a boutique resort/hotel is cool business. Just put it near Metro Manila like in Laguna, San Pedro or Batangas province.
Ancient Filipinos worshipped the one True God. The Most High Yah. Creator of heaven and earth and everything in it as in the Book of Genesis. There may have ones that were influenced by pagans. The Remnants believe in God the Father/YHWH and His Son Yahusha or as western world would call Him Jesus.
Cant wait for you to see my province of Bataan. We've got so much to offer and very accesible from Manila. You can choose to ride a speed boat or drive. So much history here. ❤btw, love your contents! ❤
We all look forward to seeing the video about the boutique. You could do a whole lot with it, ranging from travel advice to tropical living. And it would be a win-win situation for everyone! 😊
Thanks for the encouragement! We will definitely explore this idea in the coming months to get a feel for the opportunities, costs, and complexities 👍🏼
Please don't. Why don't you instead explore the idea of creating a boutique resort in your country where you can showcase your own country's culture, your country' s rich biodiversity and the admirable qualities of your people. Sincerely, A Filipino living and suffering in the Philippines due to unnecessary luxury resorts for the rich.
After Villa Escudero you can also try the shooting the rapid in Pagsanjan falls. It is one of the unique activities that you can do in that area. There's is no activity like that in other countries
Woah!🤯 Now we know why you left BGC for the day. What a cool experience!!! OMG! Beautiful place! Thanks for showing us this unique and family day trip! Def want to go! Knox and Nia will love it!
I LOVE Villa Escudero it’s a really nice day trip coming from Manila. There’s a lot of BEAUTIFUL places in Quezon province, I saw some of the suggestions from people’s comments As usual LOVE the food yummy. The cultural show, there’s a lot more to see of Filipino dances, some are very intricate and very hard to do, it needs a LOT of practice. Thank you for enjoying and sharing and promoting the Philippines 😊❤️
So happy you liked it! It was the perfect break from the city. Not too far and the traffic on the way home wasn’t that bad. And the grounds were definitely worth seeing. Loved the food, atmosphere and culture there.
WOW. I was there last January of this year 2023, when I took my 2 months vacation in my country. Have you been to Baguio, Tagaytay, Hundred Islands, Mayon Volcano, Guimaras Island in Iloilo where you can find the sweetest Mango of the Philippines. I am always excited to watch your Blogs Guys !
NEXT on the Must Take trips in the PH: Overnight Camping in MOUNT PINATUBO with MomDuty crew aka LockAmpos. Imagine 4x4 offroad rides, lahar backdrop from its 1991 eruption and the beauty of the crater lake. Maybe interact with the Aetas and appreciate our indigenous people's culture. ❤
@@AlwaysBeChanging oh yeah! Do it while on the peak of health/shape it needs a bit of trekking but the scenery is lush. Kiddos will love it am sure. :) Let @guidetothephilippines plan it for you guys.😘😘😘
This is so exciting! You guys are exploring places off the beaten path for us to discover! Definitely booking a Villa Escudero tour with my whole family this weekend, thanks to you! I'm so thankful by the contents you put out, its more than entertaining, but wildly informative!
Yes to boutique hotel! But please please have two kind of boutique hotel. Boutique hotel often times have connotation with luxurious and expensive which easily translate to the majority as out of reach in terms of budget and reality. First boutique hotel can be both luxurious and expensive to accommodate that niche of the market. Second boutique hotel should be something that gives the luxury feel but won't break the bank. Now you have the niche on both the upper and middle class market which is the driving force of the Philippine economy. Of course, I won't be talking about accommodating both market without even thinking of those less fortunate/underprivileged member of our society. I think it's a disservice to not talk and not get them involved in this. That's why, I would encourage hiring less fortunate people that have potentials as your staff/employee. Providing livelihood to these people helps them to better their lives and lives of people who they support. MAJOR WIN FOR EVERYONE! ❤
Thanks for the support! I know it’s important to both families to support and bring benefit to our viewers. We also want to bring value to family travel. We know how comfort can make a family trip so much more enjoyable but also relief if it doesn’t cost an unreasonable amount.
Thank you for visit my home town tiaong quezon next time visit the historical and pilgrimage town of pakil laguna and dont forget to visit calauit safari your philippine adventure did not complete without to visit our very own calauit safari philippines is the most beautiful and most adventure country in asia every cities towns and provinces have a lot offer to every tourist visit and arrived to our country
Boutique hotel or AirBNB designed by yourself and the Ocampos sounds very unique. I think hotel business in the Philippines are thriving and that might work in your favor.
# 3 husband thinks you would be looking for a very big headache to start a business in the PH. Takes too much personal time and you must be there. Even my wife's brother doesn't trust locals to work for him and leave them to run the business. If Mom Duty is going to be at the business full time - ? I still think you should not try this.
Happy to see you guys having fun at Villa Escudero. I think it’s a good idea for both families to open a boutique hotel. With both of your family’s travel experiences, I think the hotel will be awesome.👍🏼❤️
I'm so happy to see you guys in my province and enjoy the place, it's my 1st time to visit the place last Dec '23, even I'm living here in Quezon. Hope to meet you guys in person someday . Take care ❤
