Its a story of a woman who lived in a village and a king loves her and takes her with him and give her all his wealth but she rejected it and returned to his village and after seeing her people are saying (aayi aayi here she comes ) hope you understand
Umar Marvi (or Marui; Sindhi:عمر مارئي) is a folktale from Sindh, Pakistan about a village girl Marvi, who resists the overtures of a powerful King and the temptation to live in the palace as a queen, preferring to be in a simple rural environment with her own village folk.
It's a story of a girl who was force by the king to be the Queen.. but she never accepted that and shown full resistance and returned to the village.. "Aayi" means "Here She Comes" this is what the villagers were chanting when she returned to the village rejecting the king..
This song is in sindhi language, spoken in Sindh, Pakistan. The story is about Marvi. I absolutely loved your reaction, more importantly Coke Studio is back and we are able to view your amazing reacts on them.

I think u already have known the story from many of the comments, this actually is a tale from the Sindh Province of Pakistan which also was the heart of the indus valley civilization.
This song narrates the story of Umar & Marvi which is a folktale from Sindh, Pakistan about a village girl Marvi, who resists the overtures of a powerful King and the temptation to live in the palace as a queen, preferring to be in a simple rural environment with her own village folk. Upon showing her resilience, the king decides to bring her back to her village; where all her villagers welcomed her singing "Aayii Aayii khatte Aayii". Which means she came back victoriously.
Season 15 started with a bang. Brilliant. Thanks for the video reaction. This song is related to the province of Sindh of Pakistan. I am sure that the coming few songs may be related to other provinces of Pakistan.
The song is about resilience, the "she' comes from an old folk story. It's about a girl who showed resistance infront of a king to be with her people. The "aayi aayi" (here she comes) refers to her people welcoming her back.
Do You know the single reason for the success of Coke Studio Pakistan ??? Actually they found a miraculous captain of the ship and gave him full authority to think, find people, create musical thought, select the right music people for instrumentation to play, make good choices. So, the magic is happening!!! Nothing rocket science.
Besides being the story of Marvi, I believe the song is also referring to the return of 'Coke Studio' or Zulfi and his team. The last song in the last season was titled 'Phir Milenge' or 'we'll meet again' and the first song in this one is 'Aaye Aaye' or 'here she comes'. The women standing with flower petals in dishes signifies the ritual of welcoming someone, (we shower our honored guests with flower petals as a sign of welcoming them, it's a Paksitani/Indian tradition), the peacock coming through the doorway is to signify the return of a beautiful creature. The song, while narrating Marvi's story is also talking about Coke Studio's return. In my humble opinion.
The song is based on a Sindhi folklore about Umar Marvi, Marvi, a young Khaskheli girl of the Panhwar tribe abducted by the then-ruler of Amarkot, Umar Soomro, who wanted to marry her because of her beauty. Upon her refusal, she was imprisoned in the historic Amarkot Fort for several years. Later she was released Because of her courage, Marvi is regarded as a symbol of love for one's soil and homeland.
Its a Sindhi song reflecting the Tharparkar Sindhi culture based on Ancient folklore Umar Marvi 😊 also the Dolphin represent (Indus River) and Peacock is the ancient Sindhi Symbol 😊

its sindhi (karachi)! the song is based on a sindhi folklore about a girl named marvi who was forcefully married with a king and sent away to his kingdom but she showed great resilience and love for her hometown and was coming back to her hometown, which is why they're saying "aayi aayi look here she comes with victory". the mor and the dolphin in the video are national animals of sindh and the mor represents marvi here.
