Everyone looks unhappy and unhealthy

This seems like a sad place. No fun, no smile on people's faces, no music, no women, no joy of life. Sad.

I am an Italian woman. I know this place very well. My in-laws live in Al Rahim square not far from Karimabad. I never go alone in the streets of Karachi. I always wear European cloths and people stare at me but everybody is always respectful. I never get sick with the street food. I really enjoy it and fruits, particularly mangoes are amazing. Some of our family members live in different and very rich areas in Karachi, like Defense or Clifton with big malls and beautiful restaurants. Please do not judge an entire population on base of one video. Pakistan has a wonderful and good hearted population welcoming you and very friendly. Specially in the North regions of Gilgit Baltistan (my in-laws are from Hunza )in the Himalayas you will see the most spectacular panoramas on earth with mountains more than 7000 m high, lakes and falls. Pakistan is definitively a country you need to visit. You will never regret.

Ah so beautiful. Men in skirts, never smiling but sweaty. The few women I could see looks so colorful in their black attire from the very top of the head to the heels, just like Angels of Death and Misery. Streets so clean, even Japan would envy them. On top of it all, religion of peace to rule them all.

Thank God we cannot smell the place…🙏🙏🙏

I'll tell one thing I noticed, many of those people being filmed looked like they were one step away from ripping the face off from whoever held that camera.

Bustling town ! Their sense of cleanliness is of next level ! Quite innovative idea of trash management ! Spread the trashes equally on the road. It will be managed by itself. Amazing !

I am so glad, so thankful, so appreciative and so blessed to be an American, no matter the negative things other countries may say or feel about it... I guess I would be looking very sad and miserable as they do, if I lived there. GREAT FOOTAGE!!!! Good to see the cultures of other countries.

I enjoy these sorts of videos because it's a really clear glimpse into regular day to day life... but one thing that always cracks me up about street videos basically anywhere outside of America or Europe is just how everyone stares endlessly at the cameraman as if there's a 20 foot tall monster walking around.

I pity the people who can't just enjoy seeing another culture, without having to make the pseudo complimentary comments, and the snark. After all, "there, but for the grace of God...". Many of the snarky comments are probably coming from people living in countries that are on the brink, and will probably be living like this in the not too distant future.

It looks like a very hard place to life - and all the people has to struggle every day to master her life ... I can understand that nobody is happy to be filmed.

I have no love for Pakistan. However, I am surprised to read a few adverse comments . There are many similar streets, some better and some worse, in almost all big and smaller cities in India. I invite people to visit the main Station Road in my own lovely city, Thane, in morning hours.

I am a Pakistani🇵🇰. I have lived in Karachi for many years not far from this place. Yes, this place is in the biggest city of Pakistan, Karachi which has population of 2.5 crores. Now I am living in Islamabad. But what i remember is getting my supplies for the vocational courses like dry arrangement, fabric painting, cooking which included Pakistani, Chinese food and baking, pot decoration, crocheting, beautician, etc which I was doing from kaka Bawani centre and Memon centre. The fees were nominal but the teachers were very knowledgeable and wonderful. I don't know why you people are calling these people unhappy, wearing skirts, no women. They are going about their daily routine, what do you expect them to do? Laugh without any reason? The shopkeepers should laugh their hearts out while handing fruits and vegetables to the customers? And I don't know whether you call the baggy trousers, skirts . This is our national dress, Shalwar paired with shirt called Qameez. Shalwar Qameez is also the national dress of Afghanistan. No women? But I saw many there. Girls go to schools, and other educational institutions or are stay at home daughters and mothers doing house chores while men are the bread winners in many households. So what's wrong with it? Karachi is a city that loves art. Though it definitely needs to be vigilant about its cleanliness. I agree.
