The R-dart seems to shake too much in flight and loses energy quickly. Gripen's turning capability has also decreased, and considering that it carries four darts, I think Darter needs a bit of a buff in terms of energy retention and range.
@@Advt2458 it's all trade offs though cause carrying 6 amraams is considerably a lot heavier and if you get caught in a fireball with 3 amraams there is little to no chance in our running or energy bleeding oncoming missiles compared to if you just had 2 9ms left which are a lot lighter
@@duc1755 The nature of aerial combat has changed, so slight differences in maneuverability due to armament load are no longer decisive factors in determining victory. Moreover, the F-16 can be equipped with six AMRAAMs or 4*2-9m, a capability the Gripen lacks. Additionally, Sweden and Italy's Gripens currently possess the best AMRAAMs available. Given that maneuverability has already been nerfed once again, it's hard to understand that the uk gripen got a good balance. At the very least, it needs four darters to be on the same level of amraam
what's you key bind to switch targets so seamlessly? and what's the control in the options menu called so I can find it and set a key bind to it please help i have been asking around for this and cant find the help or the actual option in the menu because I'm dumb
In this close range engagements, yes you can simply fire and disengage. I believe most of these ARHs go pit bull ( NATO lingo for when the missile turns on its own radar) around 12/15 Km I think. Like he did in the video if you’re within that range let it fly (HMD lock would be very helpful). Put simply, if you’re able to hold the soft lock for just a bit longer, it’ll give the missile a higher probability of striking
Idk why people are surprised that the R-darter, a missile meant to shoot down MiG-21s, isnt as good as the AMRAAM which was meant to shoot down Flankers. Not everything has to be the best thing in the game
@@jerpapa9597 i wonder if its a bug or if its just something stupid like its an accurately modeled missile & South Africa just designed a Fox-3 with a bang-bang guidance system in the 21st century lmfao
It will be a bug, since the R-Darter was not pulled from service for being incapable but due to political and corruption related issues. By every account it was an exceedingly capable missile, the specs of which are still classified. So I highly doubt they're 'accurate'
