Today we're hiking into Phraya Nakhon Cave in Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park.
This national park in Prachuap Khiri Khan province is about 1 hour south of Hua Hin and about 3 hours from Bangkok. The special thing about this cave is that there is a pavilion inside the cave that's lit up beautifully in the morning light that streams in from above.
To get to the cave you have to either walk along the coast or take a boat to Lam Sala Beach. From the beach you can start the hike up the mountain before descending into the cave. The hike is not very long, but it is quite the effort considering the high temperatures. The cave is beautiful inside and well worth the visit, and afterwards you can relax on the beach or have some refreshments in the restaurant.
