When seeing that the grandmaster himself is offering an airbrush tutorial by himself the expectation is high.... And you clearly delivered! Thanks for the great work and the translation service. Keep it up!
Fantastic video. No shortcuts, some great non-obvious tips (like a cleaning in the mug). I rarely watch whole video without skipping and here I enjoyed it all. Great job!
Angel, that video was the best airbrushing video I’ve ever seen on RU-vid. It was really informative and really clear. I’m definitely going to try those dot and line exercises over the weekend! Thanks so much, I really appreciate it!
Owen Morgan-Jones thanks Owen, This video took me a lot time but I'm happy 🤗, I'll upload more airbrushing videos this month, could you share the video?🙏🏻
Great to see the techniques you describe in your books as a video. It's amazing how much easier it is to understand! But now I can go back to the books, follow the tutorials and know I am doing it the right way.
Angel GiraldeZ sure thing! There’s tips for beginners and for those of us who have been airbrushing for a while but might be a bit unsure if we’re doing things right.
@@AngelGiraldeZ I have just shared it to my local wargaming clubs facebook group, there are a lot of people there who could benefit from these great videos. Keep up the good work! :)
oh my god! I just bought this infinity airbrush and the instruction manual was so vague... You explained everything perfectly thank you soo much, you made my day sir!
Hi Angel!!! Thanks a lot for this video with the English voice. I have your both books but was always afraid by the airbrush. Your explanations are so clear that I will go for it!!! Go to the next level!!!
@@AngelGiraldeZ I have shared the video... Thanks a lot and I am waiting more of them. The vidéos and your books it will be great!!!! Just a question: can I use oil paints with the airbrush???
This video is amazing. I think this will most likely change how i airbrush, moving forward, and give me better results. Thank so much for creating this!!!
The quality of this video is absolutely phenomenal. All the better as I have my infinity on the way in the post! Great job, looking forward to watching more
I just ordered an infinity crplus and this tutorial gives me confidence. Been using brushes and scale75/vallejo for ages but i've been scared to start airbrushing. Got a bust that i want to airbrush. Excited!
I loved it, thanks a lot, I always had troubles with my Infinity using the 0.15mm, because of how often it clogs. I'll definitely try the water-pot-washing-technique. Thanks again
What PSI do you start do you start with and do you decrease pressure with each step? I find I need 30 - 40 psi to avoid splattered coverage. Also do you have advise on keeping primer from pealing off the subject, also does paint temperature help?
I use 21'75 -26 PSI (this is 1.5-1.8 Bar) for pressure, and I don't need to change it, but the pressure depends on many things so use the best it works for you! About the paint temperature, I've been painting in very dry and hot places and also others with high humidity and very low temps and they work fine every time. I cant assure you this is a point to keep an eye on, sorry :(
Thanks for these videos! I mostly paint scale models but your descriptions and demonstrations are excellent and helpful. I look forward to more and maybe I'll try out a mini!
Best educational video on airbrush ! I was doing wrong (highlights too big) ! I'm looking forward to see the next video (maybe the continuation of the painting of the Cutter ?)
Ciao.
I have an iwata neo, so I dont have the thing that limits my paint control. Love your vids! I just started a blood Angel's army and gonna use your vids to paint em
Hello, wow great tutorial, I felt like i learned allot. New to the channel and contemplating on taking the dive to airbrush my model kits and taking on minitures. Currently I am looking at three different airbrush and was wondering what you or anyone else thought on them. I'm looking at the Harder & Steenbeck infinity cr vs Harder & Steenbeck Chameleon vs Iwata HP-CS. What are your experience between the three, if any? Recommendation between them or anyone that you may have used or prefer? Lastly compressor, I haven't even started looking at them yet. lol
When you were getting closer to the model with each highlight, were you lowering your psi/bars at all? Or keeping the pressure the same and keeping thin paint? Great video either way helped me a lot so thank you!
Advice for beginners from begginer: 1. Watch video. 2. Start airbrushing, realizing it's not easy and you missed something. 3. Watch then again and you will pay attention to every detail like me. Thanks AG!
Veryyyy wonderful video! Now I can see some of the things I was doing wrong as a beginner! Also nice tips for the cleaning between colors. Is it applicable also for other brand of airbrush? I have a grex one Thanks a lot for this tutorial! xx
Hi such a great video. One thing ive wondered a while when watching airbrush videos is how long each layer needs to dry. In all videos people seems to put the next layer on pretty fast. Sometimes you see them mix a bit of white into the cup and then continue without cleaning implying really short time between layers.
lol... love the voice-over... personally I prefer your own voice and don't mind reading the translations. I just bought your Vol.1 book and hope it comes soon, I'll get Vol. 2 after I start mastering your skills... (which will probably take a loooong while... ;)
Thanks for sharing your experience. QUESTION: how much paint you waste during color preparation? it seems a very small quantity goes into the airbrush. Any sugestion on how to avoid excessive waste? Thanks
Excellent video, thorough and clear, many thanks. I discovered many things throigh one year of practice, hopefully I see I get most things right but I still need more practice. I wish I had found such a video when I started. - I use a 0.2 needle and also use a brush with cleaner to clean the needle in between, though I don't use my Artist opus brush for this;) Do you think that the amount of flow improver might helps reduce the clog on the needle? - I tend to mix directly in the cup, especially with the air range and single colour, though I recon mixing in a blister is better obvioulsy for the reasons you explain. I have seen some peoples intentionally creating bubles in the cup, by blocking the nozzle with a finger to mix the color. I'm curious what do you think of this? - Do you use standard water or demineralized water for thinning?
Arsen Marek thanks mate🙏🏻. hahaga I use an old artis opus brush 🤣. I'll record a video how to use the flow so you can see better the advantages😉. Yes, I saw that method and each painter has his trick but for me I prefer to use a blister because sometimes the paint has lumps and if you mix in the cup..... I'm very sure if I could get a good result😅
Thank you, very good tutorial I will try with thinner layers next time. Hopefully with better results. I think I don't entirely understand why do you always click the trigger so quickly and so many times instead of just pushing for a moment to finish some of the bigger layers. Of course final highlights needs bigger precision. Also am I understanding correctly that I should move the airbrush in the direction of the brightest highlight - just like with the standard brush?
Thank you for your tutorial... it's so awesome... I'm struggling with my Airbrush for a year now. You helped me a lot. I have also a H&S, but an Evolution. May I ask what pressure are you using? And if you are working with very diluted paint to glaze with the airbrush, do you adjust the pressure on your compressor or do you just handle it by the trigger of your brush.
The GIRALDEZ INFINITY model has it and it's great, but I have one problem with it. It's about the lever and its cone. I can't place my finger correctly. Please introduce some modified lever for this airbrush, even in the paid option. PLEAASSS!!!!
Thank you. Very useful video! When you clean the needle with the brush, do you use thinner or water? It's a big problem the dried color in the needle, like a film.
Muchas gracias maestro. Some observations: 1. I always thought those dreaded spiders were due to paint being too thin. Myth dispelled! 2. From a health and safety aspect, do you recommend a mask or respirator for airbrushing?
Thank you for the video Angel. A question for you: If I have a .5 nozzle and go down to a .35 needle, am I doing it very wrong? I didn't realize I had done this when I replaced my needle, but it's occurring to me I may have had to get a smaller .35 nozzle. I have only primed with the brush so far, and I haven't noticed anything noticeable yet, but curious if you have thoughts on this specific situation, where your needle is slightly smaller than your nozzle.
Does thinning out game color primers to use in the airbrush work too? Or should I try to find a primer made specifically for the airbrush? I don’t understand all the science behind primers vs regular paints and don’t want to do something wrong to the primer to make it less effective.
Ronald Robinson if you use color primers I recommend you add 1 or 2 drops of water or thinner, these paints are thinner so you don't need more drops but if you use MC, GC, citadel etc you hace to add more drops of water so you will get a good dilution
I figured you'd say that. I don't recall you going over how you seem to pump your finger when you paint. There seems to be a distinct pattern in how you do it.
