I'm certain these messaged are in general chosen to fit a persons use to passify or manipulate someone they did wrong, however if it were directed at me I'd say my person is most likely disappointed the attempt to see me arrested today failed and they need more time to succeed. Time is equal on both sides and today was evident there is no time to waste and hesitation on the only decision I'm left with would definitely be a mistake not only was it clear to me there is no regrets for what's already been done, but it's also clear they are nit done, so I'm not making an offensive action, I am taking a defensive reaction with the only choice left a available to make.
