By some calculations, Mistystar is over 16 years old! That's almost bizarre for a clan cat. I wonder what her day looks like? This MAP strives to answer that question.
The gray cat is Mistystar, the black tom is her son and deputy Reedwhisker, and the pale yellow one is the medic cat Willowshine. The cats across the river are Mothwing and Shadowsight. Everyone else is a miscellaneous RiverClan cat.
A huge thank you to my cohost ‪@Loporidae‬ who not only made the gorgeous thumbnail and helped come up with ideas for this but also designed several of the cats and did an awesome job editing the credits! If you aren't already subbed definitely check them out because they are very cool.
Having never boarded at this scale before I learned a lot from hosting this MAP. The participants did an exemplary job with the boards and it was fun to see what personal touches they added! We can't thank everyone enough for their passion and energy in getting this done and keeping the mood up. Many of these artists have less than 500 subs so definitely check out any unfamiliar names!

Bluestar had her as a young warrior, too, and by the time the books start Blue is a little past her prime; so Misty had likely been a warrior for a while when Gray and Fire were 'paws. She was probably already a warrior when they were kits.

I Haven’t Slept In 3 Days- I’m pretty sure Redtail was only a few moons younger than Mistystar and Stonefur, at most. And he managed to become deputy- which means he became a warrior and trained an apprentice- and was deputy for a while before he died. Mistystar is SO old XD

I already knew Mistystar's age but damn, she's the oldest cat out of all the clans and is still strong enough to take on a strong warrior in battle, I love her so much! She's one of my favorite leaders tbh, not just does she really care about her clan, but she makes sure that they don't get too cocky and even makes sure that (though the clans are not entirely friendly with each other) that they all come to an agreement on certain matters to prevent battles from erupting. She shows reasonable respect to Thunderclan because that's where her mother was from, but doesn't act super friendly with them. I hope she doesn't die just yet or that she goes out with a bang. Update: Recently at the start of "A starless clan" Mistystar died of a heart attack during a fucking argument with her clan. She also before that started being a pretty shitty leader. I take back my 2 and a half yr old statement.

Seeing Reedwhisker doing their best to keep up with this Old, but still living it, cat, is just amazing! And poor Willowshine, just trying to do their job, and Mistystar just keeps making it harder. This is an amazing map that just kept such a happy tone for a somewhat dark subject! Love Mistystar, but she really does need a break Starclan, let her finally rest! Great job everyone!

I mean honestly, because Mistystar is really old I’m hoping they give us a RiverClan protagonist sometime soon. Like, she’ll probably die in another series or so and we haven’t had RiverClan main characters since the travel arc ages ago. So I want there to be more important (explored) RiverClan characters. Same for WindClan, though at least they have some interaction with ThunderClan every book. What do y’all think?

I've been in the discord server from the start, and it's been an awesome experience to see all the amazing parts coming in! I wish I could have been in the MAP, but I'll keep practicing, and eventually maybe I'll get to the level of all of these AMAZING participants! I think this is quite easily one of my favourite maps. It focuses on quite a dark topic, but there's such a hopeful cheer to it rather than a doom and gloom. And with so many doom and gloom maps out there, it's nice to get a rather different outlook from time to time. Everyone was amazing, giving the whole project a nice bounce and cheer to it with animation, colours and expressions. I adore this.

My favorite things about Mistystar is that before the last 3 arcs started everyone was like, "Maybe this means Mistystar will finally die? Maybe??"
