I was thinking for Halloween, definitely the purple set. Also, what are your thoughts on a really deep red with a regular red? Would that ombré well? Or for fall a nice brown with a beige?

Here in Canada we grieve with you. Her passing brought back so memories of my Nanas stories of living in England, working as an operator during the war, how my great grandfather was a bus driver and he drove his bus in to save people during the bomb...I believe his number 19 bus is in a museum there my father is on route to England to grieve with our family there. Hard to believe you can mourn and cry so much over someone you have never met....every time I turn around I am grabbing for the tissues. We were raised to respect the monarchy and love them as my Nana did. She was an inspiration and I always thought she would live forever....Long Live the Queen...May she Rest in the arms of angels and her beloved Phillip.

I find it amazing how it can look 'not great' after one coat but then with a few strokes of magic - voila - it looks amazing! A great set and never too early for spooky dark colours :) x

Lets definitely get rid of any party of the year that isn't summer, or Halloween, Bonfire Night and Christmas related! Jo you've inspired me to (ATTEMPT TO) recreate these. Oh, I'm SO glad I'm not the only one who wants to go Halloweeny nails!! I'm hoping in holiday next week to a warmer climate and I'm having to resist all urges to take autumnal clothes and do spooky nails!! (It's going to be 85°F there, so hoodies and boots aren't going to work. 😢)

🤣🤣 Over here, Halloween isn't that big. I mean, we know it's Halloween, and if someone has a pumpkin on the doorstep then they're happy for trick or treaters, but it's not really a big deal, just a bit of fun for kids, and an excuse for teens to mid twenty-somethings to dress like slutty health workers 😆. I am pro exclamation!!!!!!

How can you hate fall/autumn?! 😮 I hate summer and winter. The perfect time of year, for me, is mid spring and early fall because I absolutely LOATHE extremely hot and extremely cold weather. Give me sunny and 75° with a light breeze during the day, then a cool and crisp night that is *just* cool enough for a hoodie, jeans and boots

Beautiful! I’m loving the optical illusion nails I learned, and I hope this is true, that one can actually use acrylic powder and monomer to attach the nail instead of glue. You just need a little bit and you wipe the sides if any extra comes out. I’m gonna try it and see how it goes 🤞🏼

Thank you! 🥰 Yeah I imagine that will work fine as it doesn't need curing. Not sure about the removal, and if you could save the press-on, but I don't work with acrylic so I'm sure those who do would know how! Might be a good idea to buff the underside of the press-on for better adhesion.

Yes, you can adhere press ons with acrylic. Make sure to buff the underside of the nail first, and make sure that you prep really well, unless you don't want them to last. But, you won't be able to save and reuse the nails. You really don't need much acrylic. Make sure that you keep pressure on the nail until you feel that it's starting to take hold and you'll have to take your brush and clean up the acrylic underneath the nail because it will squeeze out a bit. But, yes, you can absolutely do this and it seems to work well for a lot of people. Just make sure that you're using nails that are big enough to allow for the product underneath. Basically, make sure the nails aren't a tight fit to your natural nail when you size them out and you should be fine! 😊

These are so gorgeous oh my gosh and your videos always make me belly laugh 😂 I was watching videos the other day of nails and someone said that anything textured like kitchen roll can mess up the focus of the camera so they recommended something plain and matte, I don’t know if that might help your focusing issues (tbh it doesn’t bother me because hearing you explain and then rage about the camera makes me piss 😂) just thought it was a good tidbit I remembered Can’t wait to see more spooky stuff!! ❤

Thank you! 🥰 Glad you had a giggle! Ooh that is a good tip! I've been using plain paper as background for a couple of vids and I think you are right!! I just need to find a wipeable, completely smooth, non reflective white mat of sorts, so I can stop using paper!

@@MissJosNailCo I actually bought one of those silicone baking mats off Amazon the other day, it’s amazing! Like a matte grey, easy to clean, really big, I’m very chuffed with it haha but I just make sure to wipe my brushes on kitchen towel that’s off to the side because I don’t want to risk staining it (I don’t know if it will I just don’t wanna take that chance lmao) glad I could help!!
