I have to accurately take out 1-3mg of hydrophilic adsorbent of silica gel powder from big adsorbent container and a sticky hygroscopic functionalized silica powder. Can a video be shown on how to weigh such solids inside the glove box?

I would place desiccants to reduce the humidity.

At my lab, I was told that when putting items into the antechamber, you do not need to do three cycles since you are introducing atmosphere to it. That you could just put the items in after one refill, as a first step, and then do the three cycles before bringing the items into the glovebox. Is this true?

Not for my lab. We have slightly different procedures. I reckon both works fine.

@@chemfunman I still don't understand. In the end, you're exposing it to the open atmosphere when you open the lid and replenish all the water vapour you just purged.
