What people don’t mention much like you mentioned briefly is that gaming and especially casual/cozy titles can be very helpful for people’s mental health,it’s easy to come across people talking about the negative effects of gaming but it can be beneficial for people with anxiety or depression playing these calmer and relaxing games:)

Cozy gaming to me is whatever calms me in the moment for instance some don't see TOTK as a cozy game but even the fighting is cozy for me because I'm relieving stress and taking my mind off the 100 bad thoughts in my head at that moment! I suffer from anxiety and I've found that reading or watching movies doesn't distract my brain like gaming does, I can get lost in Tears of the Kingdom for hours and just think about the game.

Amazing video as always. ❤ I think I first happened on cozy gaming back when I started college. I had won a Nintendo DS and grabbed Animal Crossing Wild World not really knowing what it was. I sank sooooo many hours into that game and honestly it saved me from some pretty heavy depression. It’s awesome to see you sharing about cozy gaming because it helps so many relax and deal with stressors of the day or life. Great video. Keep it up.

I loved SS and BoTW but for some reason couldn’t get into ToTK because I really expected Link and Zelda to become a couple and they did but didn’t -.-

there is no one real gamer lol if you play whatever you like even if it has no combat you're a gamer. Cozy could mean different for everyone but the definition is whatever helps you relax and unwind and gives you a sense of peace. It could be a puzzler or a platformer. To me I don't have a specific favorite game, personally what i consider cozy is peaceful relaxing games with purpose like quests that don't rush you. Just enjoy what the games offer . For osme people their cozy can define for them horror games or rpgs. If people enjoy their games they are gamers.
