I'm trying to get over a really recent rough and sad breakup rn, and I just couldn't sleep being alone in my room, but this filled up the space in the most perfect way, and I simultaneously didn't feel alone, but also felt comfortable being alone. When I had pulsatile tinnitus in my right ear listening to rain was a godsend to help me sleep at night, thank gods I no longer have the tinnitus but still listen to rain sounds sometimes to help me sleep.

I sleep to this every night. I have a nice studio in the OC... but when I'm about to fall asleep, my apt turns into this cabin in the forest. Especially since its on my 50 inch it feels more visceral. Everybody has their own way of comforting themselves.

its my first few weeks being in highschool/secondary school and it's honestly just draining. i can get how its a big change - waking up earlier in the morning, walking home by yourself after school, being around older kids. it'll take a while to get used to. but I've found that even my attitude changes, I've started acting different, and I feel ashamed. I've been feeling more down, more sad, more bored like as if i have nothing to do. I noticed I've been crying a lot more, like I've cried about 3 times in one day that all lasted about 30 minutes. I thought my siblings were overreacting when they talked to me about how draining it really is, but then I'd reaslied just how truthful they were really being and it's taken a toll on me. I hate how we have to live up to the teachers' expectations, getting to classes on time, being happy. it's like they forget how we have feelings. like anxiety and worry, just like I have. they forget about it all. but, I feel this isn't something to be sad about. school is an experience and it will hopefully get better overtime. 'you just need confidence' said by my mother.
