Not the best year ever, but certainly more than I was planning on! Yes, I love my jet boil. I bought loads of backpacking gear this year as I wanted to do some wild camping, but I think that's something for next spring now. I'll bring you guys along I'm sure! 😊💚🌱
Must have been a good coffee ☕️ you got that weeding done in record time 😂. Isn’t it fabulous to be getting strawberries 🍓 still. Something very satisfying about a cleared veg bed 👍. Absolutely awesome squash harvests and will cure nicely inside. 😅😅 lm lazy with patty pans sliced grilled with garlic and olive oil. Great update Jake hope the eye is better soon, Ali 🌦️🇨🇦
Hahaha. I can't do much before a coffee in the mornings! But yeah, felt like I cleared loads but I think it's because of how messy it was looking over there! Loving the strawberries! Never had them this time of year before which is great! How're you pineberries coming along?! Thanks Ali. Lovely to hear from you as always! Take care 🌱💚😊
It rained all day here so couldn’t get down to my plot. Off Wednesday and it’s meant to be dry (fingers crossed) so I have a date lol got paths done yesterday but I’m itching to clear most of the beds now. Anyways another fab one Jake, you really do make great content in your vids they are so informative and helpful. Have a great week
Oh no! I hope Wednesday is fine and dry for you! A date with the garden is always better on a nice day! Love a midweek garden, always feels special! Plenty of time to clear stuff away, we have until March and the nature will enjoy it whilst it's there. There is always a positive to being relaxed for sure. Take care Belinda 🌱💚😊
I also got all of my Squash in but mine are indoors ripening, as for the tidy up it will have to wait, but I did cut the grass, I dont grow those yellow things so I dont know what to do with them other than throw them about ? You seem good at rooting rose's, I find it a little harder than most other things, see you next week, have fun out there.
Hey Graham 😊 oh nice one, what varieties did you grow this year? We've got plenty of time to tidy up, that's the great thing about this time of year. It's spring, but in reverse. Haha, the patty pans are a new one for me and I keep giving them away to people who ask me what they are 😅😂 I've always been quite good at rooting roses, but keeping them going is another matter! Time will tell. Take care mate 😊🌱💚
I do love me a good weed and clear ❤😅. I’m getting myself a jet boil for winter gardening can you cook eggs with it? Nice variety of squash. I’m going to try getting cuttings of my rose 😊
I don't see why not! I don't know if you'd have enough water though as the max line is only 1 or 2 cups, but I'm sure you could boil 2 eggs at a time. It's great coz it boils in less than a minute! I got mine because I want to start wild camping and backpacking so I need something as small as possible! Thank you! Got plenty this year, just not my best year! Oooo nice. Let me know how you get on with it! I find them pretty easy to root, just can't keep them alive afterwards very well 🤣 Lovely to hear from you Stella 💚🌱😊
I took my cuttings on 18th August and they've already got a really good root system on them! So not long at all. If you wait until winter, they might take a little longer to get going. The thing If you do them in winter, you've got to wait for spring to see if they have taken. But I'd you do them now, they might produce some buds to show that they have taken and you can relax a little!
