🌵🦩🌵This adorable little pink cottage is located in Sarasota, Florida. It is in such a beautiful neighborhood where peacocks roam the live oak canopied streets. It was a treat to take a walk each day and look at the pretty houses and tropical flowers and plants. 🌵🦩🌵 Strawberry Fields Salad 🌵🦩🌵 serves 2
1/3 cup walnuts chopped
1 teaspoon butter
2 tablespoon sugar
5 oz baby spinach leaves
3 sliced crispy bacon, crumbled
thinly sliced red onion to taste
3 cups sliced strawberries
1/3 cup feta cheese crumbles
For Poppy Dressing
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
2 teaspoon poppy seeds
salt and pepper to taste
- In a small skillet over medium heat place walnuts, butter and sugar. Cook about 5 minutes stirring constantly. Stir until all sugar is melted and nuts are coated. Turn onto a sheet of parchment and immediately separate the nuts. Let cool.
- Layer salad ingredients onto individual serving plates.
- For dressing place all ingredients into large bowl and whisk .
- To serve drizzle salad with dressing. Top with walnuts.
