Since I probably won't have a veggie garden this year, I really enjoyed to be able to flip through a seed catalog with you ! ❤️ Love this tradition of yours ^^
@@yeetmister7878 i’d say a usa thing. we “celebrate” ground hog day in new york! not quite sure if other countries do, but pretty much all of the states do.
I love all of your plant videos... they are just perfect. I’d really like to see an asmr of someone talking to a beginner gardener, kinda telling them tips to get them started. Think you’d do that really well! Thanks for your wonderful videos blue!
@@Myria83 ez pz just wing it u will do fine.. it’s what I did!! But if that’s not your style - a channel I like is Epic Gardening ! Check him out he’s really cool!
@@Myria83 Follow Roots & Refuge and Whispering Willow Farm! They are not ASMR, but professional gardeners and just wonderful with explaining the beginning processes for viewers.
My grandma was a big gardener and she would give us kids coloring books to play with as she read through her “plant” books. We still have some of her annual Farmer’sAlmanacs. Such an endearing memory. Thanks for this. 🙏
Burpless cucumbers contain low or no cucurbitacin, the compound that causes bitterness and increases one's susceptibility to 'burping' after eating the fruits. People generally grow them because they are less likely to be bitter.
Last year I had several kinds of peppers. My favorite is the serrano. The plants grow fast with several branches, and produce peppers like crazy. They can be picked when they are 2-3 inches and green, or leave them to turn red. They are hot, but tastier than jalapenos. I still have a lot that I dried. I also grew the yellow cherry tomatoes. If you haven't grown okra, I recommend it. It has beautiful flowers, and the pods grow fast and you can pick them every day.
If I was ever in some hypothetical scenario where I had to pick a Mt. Rushmore of ASMR content creators and I was only allowed to listen to those 4 for the rest of my life, you'd be one of them. You've been one of my favorites for a few years now so I'm confident in this choice. Thank you for doing what you do.
@@Ty4good Gentlewhispering and WhispersRed are two of them. The last spot is really tough. Currently, FrenchWhisperer, ASMRarctica, and Shortbread ASMR are really duking it out. Cosmic Tingles would be in the mix as well but she has been pretty scarce lately. Honorable Mention to Isabel Imagination.
Up here in Canada we’re being snowed in but seeing this just gave me the yearly glimpse of hope that spring can’t be too far away!! So glad this is a tradition! ❤️🌱
I finally started my garden this year!! And I'm so excited. They are already growing!!!so now I'm obsessed watching gardening related videos especially asmr!! Thank you!🌱🌺🌻🌿🐌🦋🐛
So perfect sound in this video! So soothing, calm but very clear and natural whisper, without any feeling of using sound filters. Beautiful work, Blue!
I don't usually get super excited about my new video alerts on youtube, but I saw this one pop up and I geeked out. I love these catalog flip throughs of yours, and I'm so glad this one is becoming an annual thing!
You are right about the strawberries they were always one of the last things we would harvest when I would help my grandma in the garden/farm as a kid.
I grew a row of 12 Green Globe artichokes last year. They are very pretty as just ornamentals, but the first year you only get maybe 1 or 2 small flowers. Since they were so small I just let them bloom and I am glad I did because the look and fragrance of them is amazing. I’m looking forward to next year when they should be giving me several more per plant.
I love your catalog/magazine videos! (Especially the Burpee videos.) This truly is a great sign of spring and I appreciate this "tradition" you're creating.
Buy an eggplant! I had only one plant last year, and it produced many! And, if you're in the Chicago area, Melrose Peppers are tge best! Sweet and productive!
Something to try with Turnip.....peel and cube, boil or steam until soft ..the same with carrots, then mash together with butter, salt and pepper to taste. A tasty veg to have with a roast ! Thanks for a lovely video Amy 😊
First off let me say thank you so much for this video is literally combines three of my favorite things ASMR gardening and tomatoes all together in one video I almost had a mind explosion and you had the Burpee magazine girl this video to me broke the Internet keep up the great work and don’t give up on that corn they got me to last year but I’m going to go and plant some more corn tomorrow keep at it girl I am here and subscribed 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🙏🏾🤗
istg your whispering asmr videos always hit different. i hope you'll make more like this video. i really feel relaxing and sleepy bcz this video and your whisper is amazing.
I was doing google searches for my favorite dishes or just random ideas for vegetables while watching this video! Artichoke, boiled unions, steamed radishes!
I just think you are the sweetest! Also just wanted to say, DEFINITELY try growing strawberries!! But don't forget they SPREAD big time so make sure you have enough room in your garden for more strawberry plants each year. I started out with 4 plants my first year and by the 3rd year I had a 10x10ft size with nothing but the sweetest most juicy berries I have ever had and you know how it goes, I grew them all by myself so that made them all the more better! Good luck to you! XOXOXO
Recently found your channel and watch the gardening ones. I had my seed catalogues in January. Your pumpkin vairtey choice and tomato choices are alot broader than in the UK. Although the uk spring and autumn isn't always good enough for squash
Idaho girl here. Potatoes are one of the easiest things you can grow and store. Super super easy. Look up largest potato for the year if you never have. They can grow pretty massive. A lot of people don’t realize just how big they can get.
Squash are divided into two categories: tender or summer squash like zucchini or crookneck squash and hard-skinned or winter swish like pumpkins or butternut squash.
im wondering if I should be planning on summer starters or winter starters for my garden this year.. Its been moderate in california this year! My gut tells me to get a head start on summer stuff again like peppers and tomatoes etc. but nurseries aren't selling yet..also how are you just casually skipping over the fact that one of their products is a tomato that is the size of a pumpkin?
I live in the PNW and artichokes grow pretty well in the summer heat with lots of watering. I don’t pick mine, they are so beautiful if you just let them flower I am LOVING this style of video and your beer tasting videos are everything. I’m not a big fan of role play vids so I hope you keep this style up!
I love your vids not only for the ASMR but because I learn a bunch of stuff from them :) I did not know about Burpee, I'll recommend it to my mom who loves plants.
I love her videos. I like her voice in her other videos to not just whisper I like when she talks normally but soft. This video is cool to just if its one and wile not all whisper like this. I prefer the other tone of her voice as well. A balance would be perfect lol
