Guess this answers the question on whether Wild Woman Bushcraft goes in the woods. Couldn't resist. That is a nice little outhouse, hope it works out for your family.
Dear Vanessa… You are so amazingly self-sufficient.. And JUST as unfailingly A PERPETUAL INSPIRATION!! The world would be a very drab place without you O Woodland Queen! ❤️💐
I thinkyou did a great job. Will be very nice for you when at your cabin. Glad you are feeling better. Really enjoy your videos. Be safe and have fun...
Wow Vanessa you surely have been Buisy take your time on building you Don’t need to hurry.only do what you Think you can do it’s great seeing your Enjoying yourself again. Takecare Vanessa
Is there no end to your knowledge and skills? I am so impressed with you, I'm 74 and you can do things I can't. More power to you and a long, happy life.
Bravo Vanessa. Beifall.
I think the matt green look much better and is less noticeable to anyone in the area. It's so good to see you out and about in nature. All the very best and take care of yourself. (Iain Christie).
I think that the outhouse is very functional and a great of improvement over a plastic bag and bucket! This is especially true for when it rains and snows!! The clear roof is great - a lot of light for zero cost. A dark outhouse can be a scary place for children. I loved the modular design - assembly was very rapid and much easier than building from scratch. I knew that bright green would not be acceptable - the moss green color blends with the forest much better. Great job Vanessa! Thank you for another very professional video.
I imagine your camera man is your husband and he is actually working for his dinner LOL. Of course I'm joking, it's good to see him giving his respect and mutuality to you in this way (indicative of a solid relationship). Ika looking at you with that face that says 'why aren't you sharing that wonderful stick you've found with me' left tears in my eyes, I laughed so hard. Also I think your new toilet is a great addition to your forest home. That thumbnail by the way, wooooooo, you don't need to work so hard to get my attention darlin (I'm certain your idea worked as planned).
Great video Vanessa. A good clean place to use the toilet is essential and the most overlooked item, glad you thought of it. Looking forward to part two.
Still pretty as ever and a very ingenuitive way of preparing your personal escape retreat. I new there’s a reason I fell in love with your channel. Vanessa your the best in my eyes. And love you very much. Forever the princess of the woods. Sincerely SEMPER FI
Better to dig a deep hole and build the outhouse over it...in my opinion. That's what I've had in all my cabins for 40 years. Never once they got so full that I've had to empty them.
I agree. That will keep the smell and door slamming away from your front porch. Love your vids and glad you are feeling better. Was really worried about you a few months ago
@@SnaggleX Yes. And build it away from the main house. Top the droppings with earth/moss/sawdust made for that purpose to kill smell and help with compostation.
Well well now there is a click on the picture.. Better late than never Well you have planned the construction, well planned is half done, and well built. Greetings to a good cameraman too
I love that you have your energy back and your creative ideas are flowing once more, Vanessa. This is a great addition to your forest cabin. I have a feeling the kids will love it too!
Sitting on the pot as we say in the U.S. Only you would post that and we love ya for it! So open and honest..one of a kind! Have any kin in the states like you? We need more like you! Be safe doll..😁
The outhouse is a great addition to the Fox Hut in the forest Vanessa, good job. Sometimes you have to improvise solutions to minor/major issues and especially if you modify or add options. This will be much better than lugging a bucket around the forest, nice, neat and very handy. Wild Woman Vanessa getting back to doing what she does best👍👍thanks. Enjoy!
That’s a well-made kit for the outdoor toilet. Looks it went together so well! It’s so awesome to see you being so active and creative!! I’m so happy for you!😁😁👍
What a resourceful women you are cutie! Excellent construction as you would call it. So nice to have a outhouse as we call it here in the US. Your new color is a much better choice than the original. Looking forward to part 2. Blessings! ❤️🙏🏻
Here in New Zealand, we too call outdoor toilets, 'Outhouses', 'Longdrops',or, 'Shithouses'. Schitthaus? Scheissehaus? Lol. I love the way you have the courage to post such a video, you're the best! 😁❤
Enjoyed this video. That looked like a very good kit for your building. Good choice to go with the darker green, the first one was very bright. I like your solution for the door clearance problem. Good job 👍🤗🎩
Looks very good & will be very useful for you. The door problem is not a problem. Take 4/5 inches off the bottom of the door, then put a piece of timber at the bottom of door frame. Then attach the pieces you cut off the bottom to it. Then you won't have a gap at the bottom when you close the door. It will make your door frame stronger & the door should open over the top of the piece you tried to cut out. You will just have step to get in toilet. But it will also stop water going into the floor under the door.
Good to see you looking so good and thanks for the giggle. I was looking at the thumbnail and i was like "What is that?" Oh it's Vanessa having a poop...😂😂
Great job on the Pivy, Outhouse. The best tool for cutting out for the door swing is a nice chisel and mallet It would make easy work taking out wood along the grain.
You look like more better .🙏 elements of happiness in your mind and thk you ,les éléments du bonheurs sont en toi et tout autour, comme mère Nature . ❤ Courage tu n'est pas seule .
Away to go Vanessa and thanks to the camera man for helping, it would have been cheaper to make one yourself but prepared to build make it easy , so we'll done ✔ Vanessa.. Vanessa ❤.
Your work is always informative and entertaining. For your benefit: the most common term in American English (at least here in Texas), for this building would be "Outhouse". "Privy" is also a lesser used term. As to the limitation of opening the door, a small, spring hinged, partition on the bottom of the door might have been my suggestion.
It is very nice. For future information if you had painted the base before putting it together it would have been even better. Putting it on blocks is very good , blocks and painting would be even better. So glad to see you out doing projects.
Venessa, just bring a car jack with you the next time you get out to the cabin then you cane lift the pivvy up to the right height and than you can place some flat stone under the pivvy to support it!!!!
looks great. When cutting the ledge with the chainsaw, all that was needed was to cut a series of parallel vertical cuts (making fins), then use a hammer and chisel or hatched to break out the fins....it is much quicker and easier. I think this will be an amazing addition. good to see you are looking healthy again.
