Dolce, what the whaaaaat kinda fruit is that??? I’ve never seen anything like this before in my life but you’ve got your boy interested! What do they taste like? It looked like a grape inside a shell with a big seed in the middle. #mindblown

LOL😆😆 I appreciate your comment, more than ya know😁😊😊 not sure how to describe the taste, so I looked it up on Google, & agree with what it said: The longan fruit is very juicy, mostly water, and high in natural sugar content, so it is very sweet. The translucent flesh has the consistency of a grape and it also taste grape-like. There are tropical flavors as well, with a hint of muskiness/funk. But the musk flavor isn't unpleasant.

@@SowGoodGardener you would definitely be the first!😁😊😊 Been trying to sell some with no bite quite yet, but I have a "feeling" God will be there to help me out, one of these days😁😊 so Googled: Longan can be kept low (about 7 feet tall) if grown in a container. Choose one that's 24 inches or larger in diameter. Don't water the plant too much or you'll get a lot of leaves and not much fruit. So, I learned something new too😊😊

No, similar I am sure, but this is Longan Fruit... Google says: Like lychee, longan is a tropical fruit native to Southeast Asia that's a member of the soapberry family. Just like with lychee, the seed of the longan fruit is inedible. ... In terms of flavor and texture, lychee and longan are very comparable, but longan has been described as being jelly-like and more tart.

Yes, about the same kind of fruit, so I am sure it taste similar, but I wanna try the lychee when I can. I am sure it's as easy to grow as I've seen others have success in growing them, thanks for watching 😊😊

This is one of my favorite fruit.. How long does it take to fruit when planted from seed?

Something I found on Google: Generally, the longan tree does not bear fruits every year and it may produce no fruit or little fruit. Fruits grown from seeds may take up to 7 years to bear fruit. The longan tree propagated from air layering method may bear fruit 2-3 years after planting. So, we shall see, & I will definitely update everyone when the time comes, thanks for watching 😊😊

i planted 50 in a starter tray like 1-2 weeks ago....so far nothing has popped up. i'm giving them 2 more weeks......if not i'll plant more

I suppose they are similar, in the "same family," but guineps, I read on Google are a Spanish lime, so I'm thinking it's more sour? Longan is a sweet fruit, hope this helps😊😊
