Hey I’m planning on visiting Cancun with a bunch of my friends. We want something that is adults only and all inclusive but not super expensive. We want the beach to be clean and nice with great amenities around. What would you recommend? I hope you see this 😬
What is there to do around there when you want off the resort? I stayed at Riu Peninsula a year ago. Thought it was OK but in order to see life outside of the resort had to run across the street and catch the bus. Wasn't to exciting. I go to the Los Isla mall and it was rather dead. Went mid Febraury for 4 days. If you like to sun tan, I thought, and lay around the resort in Cancun it's a good idea. If you want to get off the resort and hang out with lively activity that seemed to lack right there.
Thanks for making & sharing this!! I’m planning to go there with my daughter soon but wondering if it’s too loud (daytime and sleep time) for a nice relaxing girls trip.. is it a 24-7 loud party? Thoughts?
We were only there during the day and it wasn’t a crazy loud place.. you can definitely find a quiet spot to relax. As far as night time goes, I would recommend requesting a room away from the theatre so you don’t hear too much noise.
Hello, I am travelling in May and I wanted to know which is better Riu Dunamar or Latino and I don’t really mind the family/adult only feature. I would just like to know which one is the best overall. Thanks!
They are very very similar. Latino is more of an adult party vibe since it’s adults only. Latino is brand new , whereas Dunamar is older but recently renovated - so they basically look the same 🤷🏼♀️
We didn’t tour the buffet at this hotel, but the RIUs all have very similar food selections. Yes, they will have lots of vegetarian dishes to choose from 👍🏻If you watch one of our other RIU buffet tours, you can see what they have to offer. Check out RIU Palace Península or Caribe 👍🏻
Hey great review can you advise if this is better than the Riu Palace Las Americas? How’s this location to get to the shopping hotel district? We are trying to decide between the 2 properties so any help would be appreciated
It’s so tough to say - they are both so different! RP Las Americas is a much more dated hotel - the rooms are dated but the grounds are quite beautiful! It’s also right in the main shopping/hotel area and has a beautiful beach. Also being that it’s a palace, it will have a bit more food selection and a bit better service. Latino on the other hand, is a brand new hotel with very similar amenities to Las Americas, is situated on a gorgeous beach as well, but it very far out from the main hotel area in Cancun - about 1 hr out. It’s a tough call, just depends on your preferences 🤷🏼♀️
