I'm Tina, I run 'Made with April' with my dog, April! I had the amazing opportunity to vend with Hal-Con (Halifax's Sci-fi and pop culture convention) last weekend and I had an awesome time! I ate tons of oysters and seafood chowder and enjoyed the trip as a vacation, while also boothing! I ended up staying about a week to explore Halifax before and after the convention - but follow along as I talk a little bit about my logistics, expenses, and experience travelling out of province for a convention!

For traveling with your plushies how about order the fill to arrive there and bring them unstuffed 😊 I do that with the pillows I sell 🎉🎉 congrats it sounded so worth it and I’m so glad you tried it again - the first time was so different - you DID it 🎉🎉🎉🎉😅😊

Thank you!! Ahhh!! I want to try and minimize the amount of things I have to do while I'm there, so I can spend more time exploring the city and eating new foods!! For future shows especially, since I won't be staying for as long each time. But this might be what I have to do with them if I can't find another solution!!

Hi Tina, I’m so invested in your small business and just binge watched all your videos and wish there would be even more footage of how you sell and what sold and what not but I totally understand if this makes you anxious 🫶 thank you for your content 🌸 Just an idea for cutting your brown paper: there are cutters that are shaped like a carhartt C with a blade inside that you can just drag along the paper that would make it so much faster and easier for on the go cutting

Ouu thank you for the tip on the paper cutting!! I will definitely look into that! I'm working on filming some more of my life and small biz for 2024, I definitely got lost somewhere along the way as we got into the holidays, hopefully I can post more consistently and more stats of what sells well!

lipgloss tip I have is I use a straw and use my tongue not my lips to drink lol its the only solution I have to aviod transfer. maybe setting powder?

I've applied for a couple things but won't hear back until probably December! There is a local pick up option for no additional fee on my website if you can't make any of the events!

I think most of the Canadian ones range from 200-500 depending on how big the show is, and for larger tables can even be up to 1000!! He is!
