Sit down with a warm drink and draw with me! In this video, I’ll be talking about my journey of coping with grief and depression, from the moment my dad passed away to where I am today. We’ll talk about the tools I’ve been using to stay on top of life, how I’ve been discovering my personal style, and my plans for a Europe trip.
Since I got help with finding a doctor I’ve been on antidepressants, and I feel like I’m getting closer to how I imagine most people feel every day. I no longer feel so exhausted from my work day that I can’t bring myself to do anything besides sit on the couch. I can make dinner, do some cleaning, and prepare for the next day, and it doesn’t feel like a Herculean task.
I’ve also been applying the Compound Effect to my art, which is the concept of small consistent steps toward a goal over a long period of time. To make sure I’m consistently making progress on my personal projects, I’ve started the 20for20 Art Challenge, which is 20 minutes of art time each day. I’m starting to understand that and it’s really helping me make progress on my hobbies.
I’m also exploring my style when it comes to clothes, interior design, and my art. I feel like I’m slowly finding myself again, and I think I’m making progress in that area.
Lastly, I talk about my trip to Europe last and I’m so excited to explore new cultures, try new foods, and see amazing places. It’s going to be an adventure of a lifetime and I can’t wait to share it with all of you.
