As someone who’s old enough to be your auntie, I can tell you that yes I have seen the BBC, adaptation of pride and prejudice, and Colin Firth is everything I was fortunate enough to be able to watch it on A & E here in America, before it became reality trash TV instead of the arts and entertainment channel we were promised
I loved shark heart. It made me cry repeatedly. It's just such good allegory and even though the plot disease is weird and fictional, the emotions are extremely real and relatable.
OMG yay to Pride and Premeditation! Tirzah's books are amazing and bonus, she's also an amazing human! And AND she has a new series starting November that is a Lizzie-Darcy mystery series!😃
I don't read horror BUT I LOVED LOVED LOVED Monstrilio! It's fantastic and my favorite read of the year so far. I started Bride last night and it's the first Ali Hazelwood for me! Wish me luck haha
Read an omegaverse book, or better yet an omegaverse manga like "Love is an Illusion", "Megumi and Tsugumi" or "Love Shuttle", and you'll be good to go with Ali Hazelwoods paranormal romance.
I think you're excited 🤣 I am HERE FOR IT 🔥🔥🔥 I am really interested to see what you think of Bride, I wanna read it but I wanna know how normal people react to the omegaverse of it (it's a thing I absolutely adore and I constantly eat up so much fanfic about it) before reading it myself.
Bravo for dipping, your toe into monster smut I don’t know how spicy this Alley, Hazelwood paranormal romance is going to be, but it could be good for baby bats new to monster Smut
I found Shark Heart really interesting, you should def try it! I also love how it matched your dress perfectly, like it was meant to be on your TBR at this moment. :)
I laughed when you broke out in a song from the Buffy musical. Perfect! I've been in such a Jane Austen mood lately. I have a copy of Pride and Premeditation, maybe I'll try to fit it in this spring too. I love the Singing Hills novellas so much. I'm all caught up and waiting for the next one now. And Jane Austen Investigates!? I'll have to check that one out. Did you know there is another Jane Austen mystery series by Stephanie Barron? I've heard some people don't like it because it's not "accurate" but I've read a handful of them and really enjoyed them all.
Pride and Premeditation was a fun one!! So was Bookshops and Bonedust 😊 I’m hoping to read Bride too, as well as Once Upon a Broken Heart, Weyward, A Tempest of Tea, Powerless, and Half a Soul (and many others of course) 😊
I ordered bookshops and bonedust from the UK hoping to get your edition, but my pages are plain. 😩 Cover is still way better than US, so it’s fine. I’ll be ok.
Anyone that loves the concept of Austen murder mysteries should read The Mr Darcy and Miss Tilney Murder Mystery series! I loved it so much. It's so underhyped!! Would recommend reading after you've read all the Austen books because it does reference them ✨
OMG yes this past week the temperature has risen from around 40F to 75F and the sun is now setting later due to daylight savings and suddenly I am filled with life again and noticing the birds chirping and the bees buzzing lolololol. I’m so happy its springtime! I’m currently finishing up Beartown (which is taking me a bit longer than I’d like - I blame work haha) and then I’m going to start the Heartstopper series!! What’s crazy is that I actually watched the show first (only season 1) and though I thought it was really cute I just didn’t feel what others were feeling. I definitely think the book will bring me the adorable vibes I’m seeking though. Especially since I too met my boyfriend of 7 years back when we were in highschool together!!
So many great books on this TBR! I hope you have a great time reading in Spring! Just a heads up - I read Days at the Morisaki Bookstore last year and from what I remember I don’t think that book was magical realism or hints of magic. It was good though, but just don’t would you to be disappointed by it if you go in with the wrong expectations
