Here is the instructions I made while watching the video! folded 4 times with all corners meeting 16.5 by (bust/4 +1.2) most folded -16.5- corner b u s t corner -16.5- least folded mark 4 inches down from upper right corner mark 2 inches left from same upper right corner. mark 7.1 inches left from same upper right corner mark diagonal from marks 1 and 3... so 4 down and 7.1 left mark the midpoint of that diagonal .2 inches from midpoint out, make a rounded line from .2 inches from midpoint and from end of line to end of line don't know what she did there to make that line from upper right corner, mark 7.1 or shoulder/2 down from that line, mark left 1.4 or shoulder/10 (along the horizontal line match up from corner of the rounded line that is on the right edge to that shoulder/10 line. but also continue it to the edge because you will need it later now from that shoulder/10 line, mark out 8.7 or armhole depth/2 make that into a vertical line make also a horizontal line from armhole depth/2 to shoulder/10... now you have a rectangle on the bottom right now make that "you will need it later" line. The rectangle has a bit cut out of it now congrats now look at that bottom edge, where the need it later line meets it. go left .4 inches. make that mark meet the upper right corner of the rectangle. it's not that much like a few inches. that .4 away mark, go from that and just feel where to put the ruler... and make a mark that extends not down enough to meet the corner that's at the bottom third middle. now freehand a rounded line from where that line met the top of the rectangle to the bottom left of the rectangle. This line curves sharply. away with the upper right piece. away with the piece with the need it later line away with the "feel where to put the ruler and then make a curve" piece. take out the middle piece of fabric which is not marked up. on the remaining piece of fabric, cut the curved line at the top. you have another square of the material, with some kind of interfacing on the back. Flip in half right to right, hot dog style, and pin near that folded edge. you know where that long vertical line was on the marked piece? line that up with the edge of the folded new square. line up the other fabric... like uh... Kind looks the same? I guess. Keep in mind that the marked fabric has an extra piece cut away which the under one does not. also on the marked fabric, the horizontal line which was part of the rectangle is also lined up the the new folded square. mark out on the interfacing where these guys meet and where they overlap the interfacing. including the triangle at the bottom. take away te fabric from on top of the interfacing. On the interfacing, measure 2.4 inches down from the collar, and start marking that on the left side of the triangle and keep going until the upper left corner of the fabric (you won't reach the corner though) mirror on right side. connect the dashed lines you made. Cut along this big circle. cut along the inner circle too. Cut the triangle out. marked fabric is now front bodice. clip the like. left circley bit that looks like a belt. To the corners of the front bodice - look, it looks like a neck ruffle. same to back bodice and back neck ruffle. clip that mf UP. now sew along the clipped bits to sew the interfacing on. Ok now. Fold out the back interfacing. Fold out the front interfacing. Match up the front and back bodice like you would wear it. WRONG TO WRONG though. inside out. sew the tops of the sleeves together. including the interfacing? sew the sides of the bodice. she's doing something where she sews the interfacing collar down... I do not know. FLIPPY INSIDY OUTY measure the like waist part of it. Double it. It's now 38.6 inches. Take a square of fabric that is 59 by 59 fold for 4 and then triangle it. that waist measurement? divide by twice pi, so 6.1 inches. mark out from the corner of the triangle (one of the upper ones) and make a rough circle like how you do on a circle skirt. STRAIGHT EDGES ON THE EDGES. Cut there. This is like a circle skirt. Now that top bit where your butt goes. Cut .5 inches ABOVE CLOSER TO THE CORNER of the line you made. TAKE THE REMNANT from the circle cutting. Measure and cut the longest line you can that is the width of the ruler. That was a full circle skirt! cool. start attaching the bodice to the waist of the skirt. remember that bit you cut? that goes in the ARM HOLES for some reason use it to flap around the arm holes so it doesn't look bad. If the skirt is a different fabric than the bodice it will look bad though.... Cool. Take piece which is 4.7 by 59 inches. Fold in half and sew to make look nice. Turn inside out now because you sewed it wrong to wrong right? and then she sewed that sewn edge again to make it look better. That is a belt now congrats You have a dress now! Go put it on
Another beautiful dress, I am going to try to sew this dress and the butterfly one, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge in a professionally demonstrated fashion
Beautiful dress and it helps with already have nice figure. I challenge you making dress for people who lack of small waistline and still looking pretty 😉😊
Does this mean that your size is for a 40" bust measurement? If i have guessed this correctly, then i can imagine that I understand how your measurements work. 😊 Thank you so much. ❤
Excellent travail! Quelle dextérité et une excellente connaissance des mesures. Je suis impressionnée, merci, je vais essayer de suivre certains de vos méthodes. 💯
Does this technique can apply for cutting pattern on paper? I wish to collect pattern on paper so next time easy for me doing pre-cut of fabric. I'm begginner. Thanks for sharing.
