I have purchased from High Country for several years. I live in Colorado so can visit for pick up rather than ship and always end up with a couple more than my order. The roses are always healthy and have thrived. Pay attention to his planting instructions and make sure you have them deep. Here in Colorado we have difficult springs and roses can be killed by our drastic temperature changes. Own root roses are the best and High Country has some lovely ones.

I should be getting my order of 10 roses from HCR any day now. He told me they were being shipped last Monday. I wish I had ordered "Life's little Pleasure". Such a sweet rose and I have a great spot to tuck it in my garden.

I love High Country (I had the opportunity to visit Matt in CO last Fall). Amazing, well-run operation he has; so impressed. I ordered 5 roses this past Jan. They arrived beautiful, healthy plants. I couldn't be happier.

I just received my order from High country last week and I absolute love the roses and the kind and attentive customer service ! , they truly have been fantastic even when they needed to let me know that my order was delayed because the roses were not ready to be ship. Great plants and amazing care, and I would love to have the rose "Oh Happy Day" because I want more happy days ahead this year 😎🌹🥰

Love High Country Roses, this spring I got Pearlie Mae and Fun in the Sun from them. Good quality, fast shipping and healthy roses. You know I love own root and potted roses; HCR are one of my favorite vendors. Right now on my list I would like to get Pink Enchantment, Bliss and Crazy Love. Thanks for another unboxing Kim.

I love HCR even though the are bands they have out performed one gallon roses I’ve gotten from another vendor that charges 3 times as much. Matt is super responsive and just an all around nice guy. I looked at my wish list and I have a lot of roses I’d like. I was thinking eden because I’d like to plant her next to teasing georgia but I’m not 100% sure of that.

I just discovered you, with a search for help assembling my obelisk from plow and hearth WOW you are a wealth of information, my goodness the rose HEIRLOOM or any pink fragrant would work for me ….I just order one of your adorable t-shirts, love your channel and will be referring to it often, sadly I’m in zone 9b and most of my roses slow down in the high heat….although my Peggy Martin blooms all summer

These roses look so healthy. I have ordered 16 roses from HighCountry and am waiting for the delivery this week. Matt is so nice. I changed my order several times and he was so patient during the whole process. It would be great if I can have Souvenir de Malmaison or Tamora or twilight Zone rose from HighCountry Roses.🌹💕

I just received a good bunch of roses from High Country! I still have my eye on Sheila's Perfume, Rosa Canina, Dentelle de Bruges, and Margo Koster (if they become available) and if not, then Apricot Candy or Anthony Meilland.

I'm pretty sure the packing bubbles from High Country Roses are biodegradable! If they end up flying around the yard, just get some water on them and they'll disappear. I LOVED finding that out with my last order from High Country Roses. And to pick just one rose that I'm waiting to come back in stock is tough. I'd go for Distant Drums, Koko Loko, Honey Dijon and Neptune. Fingers crossed I can add them to my yard soon!

I ordered roses from both these vendors. High county’s potted roses are little small and weak to me and I think I got them shipped in middle of February. Antique nursery potted rose is also small but growing much faster than High county’s.

High Country is one of the least expensive grower, MUCH less expensive than Heirloom, so I expected smaller roses, but 2 of my 3 were REALLY small. All very healthy & continue to be, the 2 little ones are growing slowly, probably no flowers this year & I'd never put them in the ground right now; the larger one has bloomed most satisfactorily. Please understand I'm not complaining here; I paid for & got healthy babies, but be aware you are getting what I expect are 1-year roses. I was surprised that your roses were so much bigger than the ones I received, but I'm wondering, do you identify yourself & your YT channel when you order? I've noticed in several of these videos (which are super helpful, btw!) that you say you've spoken to the company; you are a really major rose influencer & I wonder if you think it's possible that you are getting special treatment? It does sound like High Country is very conscientious & committed; perhaps there is some other reason for the discrepancy. It's been a year & I hope your roses have taken off like rockets & that mine will next year---I can't wait to see "Neptune!" Thanks for your channel, it is SOOOO helpful!

@@TheRoseGeek thanks for your kind words! I'm not unhappy w/ my HCR babies, after all they cost a good bit less than Heirloom. And I expect I'll be ordering some of the older David Austins from HCR in the spring, as those can be hard to find otherwise. I just wanted people to know that the rose they get may not flower that first season, as it's a young'un! I'm sure my Neptune will be wonderful next year; I do try to be patient, but patience just takes too long! I cannot believe that some vendors refuse to sell to you b/c you have a YT channel! I'd think they'd want the publicity, but it does make you wonder what they might be hiding! I believe you asked me some time ago what my favorite lavender rose is, as i seem to be hell-bent for collecting everything in that color. I didn't have an answer at the time, & I'mstill waiting for a number of plants & blooms (like neptune), but i think there is some chance that Violet's Pride will be the winner. I don't know if you have any of those, but it is amazing---it's one of those roses that is so perfectly formed that it almost looks artificial, a beautiful lavender, very true, w/ white shading, lovely strong scent, & it simply cannot stop blooming. It's a small bush but the flowers are a nice size. I have a couple more lavender roses just arrived or arriving soon---so if they bloom this fall---it's getting late!---I'll let you know. Thanks again for all your inspiration!

Hi Kim, My roses from HighCountry Roses will arrive within 2 days. I just wanted to ask you how many days I should harden them before planting them in the ground. The temperatures will be around 72/73 degrees.

I love all of your roses. They offer a rose I want. Do you have a Marilyn Monroe rose by chance? Really want it but do not know if she’s worth it haven’t seen any reviews on her.
