I am so, so sorry for your losses. My son took his own life 2.5 years ago, and I am just now able to work in the garden. When I garden I think-and those thoughts were so hard and sad I couldn't do it. Be kind to yourself, and get back to the garden when you are ready.

Kimberley I am sorry for your loss of your husband Ken. It is so sad how you both were let down by the medical and legal systems. I pray for you and your family for healing. Mental health is still a stigma for all of us. It should not be that way. You are shunned by ignorant people who don't understand mental health crisis.

He left so soon 😢. I'm so sorry you have to go through the tremendous grief while having to deal with all the legal stuff. You are a strong woman with a strong faith I hope time will heal! PS. I also asked my Dr. to switch my allergy medicine to a stronger one, and ended up with a depression that I had to deal through counseling. They of course recommended taking another antidepressant on top of that but I declined. I eventually requested them to switch my med one more time and now I'm both in a better condition both with my allergy and mental health. I would recommend every one do thorough research on your medications

Wow, this is so sad. I remember Ken from the Stainless Steel unboxing video. His enthusiasm and quick wit were infectious. "Sous Gardener", who else could come up with something like that so fast? I understand what your going through. My cousin found out the same diagnosis and went on medication and later overdosed. I can’t tell you how sad I’m for you. It’s not going to be easy, especially after losing someone. Being in the garden and keeping busy helps over time. It doesn’t go away,but but it gets easier. There will be tears here and there, but the beautiful memories you shared will become your savior. Having a family and friends support will help you some. Just keep busy. Ignore anyone who doesn’t help you through this tragedy, including your neighbors, if any. Whenever you want to cry, remember the blessings you had together. I know you won’t want to be in the garden or do anything, but push yourself. He believed in you and loved you-remember!

Kimberly, my heart breaks for you. So many challenges in one year and so much heartbreak. My eldest suffered from Bipolar and it is a deadly disease. It grew too much for him and he also took his own life. As a result, his younger brother battles his own mental health issues. It is a family disease. We are 14 years and still I grieve. There is also gratitude for the time he was with us and the lessons we learned. The stigma and lack of concern about mental illness is shocking. It sounds like you have many fond memories to find comfort in as well as your roses. Know you have the support and caring of this community.

Kimberly, I'm so sorry. I know grief, and I know how the word "difficult" can't begin to explain it. My son left us following a serious illness almost 15 years ago. The cancer did not take his life, the cancer treatment did. I've been married to my husband for almost 48 years and I cannot imagine life without him. And I used to work for a mental health company, so I know how people do things that don't make sense, even to themselves it doesn't make sense, and they cannot be held responsible, anymore than a person fighting cancer can be held responsible for what the cancer is doing in their body. I'm also Christian and I know who truly is to blame, and it's not Jesus. You were strong in sharing your story. The next minute you might not be strong. That's just the way it is. But strength to keep breathing will come. I'm so thankful you are seeking healing, and I know this will be a journey. I heard someone say, "grief is a weight you pick up and never put back down." That may be the best explanation I've ever heard. But you will learn to carry that weight. Take as long as you need. Gardening truly does help. I am praying for you along with all the others. I pray God surround you with His spiritual angels, and his human laborers, and that you are always surrounded by those who love you. 🙏❤

I am so, so sorry for your loss. It is such a brave thing, a sweet thing, and an emotionally taxing thing; to share your life in the bad/sad moments. You have saved someone today. You opened someones eyes today. We don't know you, but me and my daughter have to watch your videos and share a giggle. You are so lovely and humorous and when you get excited about a rose or plant; that camera zooms in so quick!! We say, "there she goes!" Ma'am. You are loved, as much as strangers can love another. 😭😭😭 So sorry for all of your tragedies !! You are right, everyone grieves in their own way and time. I wish for you that Ken and Dolores visit you in the Dreamtime. In addition to your faith, strength, courage, creativity, and puppies will keep you moving positively forward. Sadly, you may continue to be ostracized by some of the ‘couples’ in your life. Same thing happened to me and still does after I got kicked to the curb by the ex. Unattached females are seen as a threat by shallow people. They are not friends nor kind people and not worthy of your time. Consider them as weeds to be plucked from your life. You will make new friends and You have many true supporters here in the Rose Geek community. 🌷🌷🌷

My garden was put in to share with my parents and when they passed, I could not go out into my garden either. But God was really good and gave me a new gardener to mentor and share with...allowing me to get back into my garden.

Oh Kimberly, So much tragedy and loss in one year!. My heart really goes out to you. You seem like such a wonderful kind and gentIe soul. I am fairly new to your channel but have learned so much from you. You are in a climate very similar to mine, so I pay close attention to how your roses are growing. I have bought a lot of your favorites. I wish that I lived near you. I would come and do your weeding for you and help in any way with the grunt work, so that you could just enjoy the fun work. Kimberly, I am so sorry for your loss and I can't imagine you have gone through such a hard time. You don't know me, but I want to tell you that without you, I wouldn't have the confidence to start my garden. I made notes of your video and I learned how to create Rose spreadsheet from you. Your smile stopped my tears, and I am so grateful you still trust in God, and you decided to return to your beautiful garden. Best of all, you have two cute puppies with you now. I cried with you, deeply. I cannot...even...imagine...the multiple feelings you are dealing with. It's hard to know how to comfort someone when they lose a family member. When I lost my Dad 24 years ago, I felt like part of me had died. No one could comfort me for quite a while. But my Lord got me through it and reminded me of what is now and what is soon to come. My prayers are so with you. I hope you surround yourself with family and friends during this time of sadness, because that's what I wish I had done more of. God is with you and your family and I hope and pray you someday can hold those doctors accountable. You are a very strong woman.

Oh, that's shocking. Love and greetings from Germany. Yes, you need your time for heeling. Personally I lost my man and property in a house fire 2013. Just rescued my life and 3 dogs running out of the burning house. Beeing homeless for 5 months, depression, anxiety, guilt... Now I started my own plant production as a graduated biologist and professional gardener and have a side job in my local nursery.
