🌻SUNFLOWER🌻 | Sleekwhisker and Darktail | COMPLETE PMV MAP 

im not sure if anyone noticed, but the main colors for the backgrounds are blue and orange, which are opposites on the color wheel. This contrast actually gives a really powerful dynamic to the trained eye, where dark and cold blue is used to put Sleekwhisker into a cruel and cold reality where everyone she loved has died, and a warm and soft orange is used in her memories, past times where she though she was happy. This map is unique compared to other Sleekwhisker maps, that are more brutal and always paint her as a bloodthirsty villain. Not that she inst, but this map dives deeper into her character and shows her softer side, her desire to be with darktail and her anxieties caused by her failure to do so. in other words, the light that the dark wouldnt be without. I want to personally thank to everyone who contributed to this project, and to raven who coordinated us to make such unique map about our gal Sleekwhisker!!!!!

Did anyone know a sunflower actually represents adoration, loyalty and longevity? It suits Sleekwhisker's relationship with Darktail perfectly!

Really loved how this map gave Sleekwhisker much more personality, and more depth to her character. I see her in a much more newer light!

Beautiful, unique map! Most maps of Sleekwhisker portray her as a physcopathic murderer, but this shows her softer side! Amazing!

1:43 I don’t usually pick out people in MAPs because all the art is beautiful, but the extra parts on the designs of the characters and the triangular bits of light make this part look absolutely stunning.

I honestly really hated Sleekwhisker before this MAP came out. (I hated her because of her hypocritical attitude, I don't care if she kills anyone really, I just hate that about her.) This MAP honestly helped me understand more of her character and she's not only rude. Good job to everyone in the MAP, the parts look great!

Oh my holy stars this map had gorgeous shading and amazing story telling of how Sleek has been manipulated and feels lost and broken without Darktail's influence. Everyone did such a fantastic job 👏👏👏🎉

Honestly though I really wish their relationship grew more than just Sleekwhisker’s jealous crush. I mean, look at these maps! These could easily have been accomplished but sadly it wasn’t

I really like this map. I honestly feel like it does a good job at making Sleekwhisker a deeper character and even one that you can sympathize with. I’m not at all a fan of Sleekwhisker or the whole idea of a character being evil because why not. While Sleekwhisker still isn’t a favorite of mine, I do have a different perspective of her from this map

This map has many things that most lack nowadays. All the styles were wonderful together, and the tweening was done so well. Probably one of the most underrated maps this year!! and it just came out. This is how they should be done,,, my heart,,,

0:38 and 0:43 are my favourite parts ever- and 0:59, 1:42 and 2:24 are all absolutely gorgeous too! One of my favourtie maps ever.

I love this!! I love the different take on why Sleek was the way she was, this was a refreshing take from all of the ones that showed her as just a crazy villian, and this made her bit of a more realistic and deep character. Also, everyone did amazing!! I love the continuity all of the parts had!

The voice REALLYYY fits darktail i like the sinister look as well AND OH MY GOSH THE COLORS SO PRETTY and oh my gosh darktails SO FLUFFY IM GOING TO DIE. HES LIKE A PILLOW lol i love this map and everyone DID SO GOOODD

I'm not a Warrior's fan anymore but I appreciate this character I've heard of have some kind of depth. great choice with the colors and also how Darktail's eyes change to convey what his intentions with Sleekwhisker are. great unique MAP thank you for making this exist.

Gods, I knew the source material pegged Darktail as abusive, but this REALLY brings it all out. I love the imagery of him pinning her down and beating her while telling her she'd be useless without him. Chilling. Poor Sleekwhisker. :(

I don't have much to add to what i alredy wrote when it was about to publish but anyways. This map was so unique, so well planned, the colour paletette works amazing with the song and the plot... I'm really honored to have done a part for it!

That animation at the end where she started crying? Now I felt that on too many levels.

All I can say is.. wow, this map was definitely worth the wait! Each animator/artist did a really good job on portraying the whole thing, color palettes and all! With the palettes though, it was really great to see the differences between reality and what Sleekwhisker imagined/felt instead. The entire time you could see the manipulation in Darktail’s movements and Sleekwhisker’s foolishness to believe in the rogue. All in all, this was a really interesting map, and maybe inspire more with the opposite colors, if those didn’t exist already. :D

This is so amazing! The overall atmosphere and the colors are so beautiful. I love how every part flows so good with the other parts and the art and tweening is so beautiful. It is just amazing, I don't know what to say anymore. You all did a great job

Darktail manipulating Sleekwhiskers feelings makes a lot of sence storywise! Its an interesting idea and you used it very well in the map

Wow, this is really well done! All the parts are beautiful and the song fits better than I first thought it would. I don't usually like Sleekwhisker MAPS because they usually just show her as a raging lunatic murderer, which... gets really old pretty quickly. This showed a different side of her really well!

this may be one of the best maps ive ever seen. the color palette, the rhythm of the parts, the expressions of the characters, and the whole storyline are just fantastic. it's so strange to see sleekwhisker in a vulnerable light but it's not a side of her we get to see often, and this map just does so well balancing her evil side with her softer side. just ughhbbbhh i love it so much ❤️

I just finished watching this map And im blown away! Im not a big pmv type map person but this one did a fantasic job??? The atmosphere, the character development with the emotions of sleekwisker was amazing!!! And the art! The art was sooooo good!!! Everyone put so much time and effort in there parts! I absolutely love this map! I avoided this until I read AVOS not wanting spoilers and I'm so glad that I did! I've seen a few comments of people saying that Sleekwhisker is just a bloodthirsty awful character but I seriously urge these people to reread the books and really look into Sleekwhisker's appearances a bit more. There are so many small subtle hints that show how she is more complex then just a one note villain. For example when Alderheart first meets her as an apprentice it's very clear that she's going off about the members of her clan and being disrespectful to show off to them. This is likely because her mentor who was actually Tigerheart was VERY strict with her (knowing Tigerheart's personality) and instead of listening to him and respecting him, the opposite happened where she was likely acting out. Or he could have even noticed that her mentor would have made a better leader then Rowanstar. I'm also pretty sure she mentions not believing in Starclan too so why follow a code that was made up by a clan in the stars that she doesn't respect or believe in? Darktail on the other hand was the perfect bait for her. She truly believed that he was the better leader and didn't force rules made up by dead cats onto her. The rules made were those made by what she saw was a leader. One of the other things that I've noticed that a lot of people forget is how she was also crushing on Rain too. Rain obviously choose Needletail and that "betrayal" of someone she thought was her friend starting to date her crush only led her to dedicate herself more to Darktail and want to be with him for the power he could give her. It was that single moment that she already lost her loyalty for Needletail, keeping her close because you keep your enemies closer. She also gripped onto Darktail because she had nothing and no one else to grip onto. When he tells her to kill, she obeys and enjoys every minute of it because that's what he wants and she gets praise for it. She craves his love and attention because she has no one else to give it to her. That's why even after his death and the rogues are defeated, she was still his biggest supporter because she had no one else to go to. Even when the Clans took her back in she was so dedicated to the rogues that she betrayed Yarrowleaf because she just couldn't fit in with the Clans anymore. She's such a clever broken villain, one that shows how it wasn't just the rogues that were broken, but Shadow clan was as well to have failed her to the point in where she felt no choice but to be lured and encouraged by Darktail to be the villain that she becomes by the end of the series.

It came out even better than I thought! All the parts flow togheter perfectly, everyone did an amazing job qwq thank you so much Raven for letting me join I'm so proud to be part of this beautiful project 💕

i’m quite satisfied! i always thought i was the only one who saw sleekwhisker in this light, and i’ve always somewhat seen her as a admirer of darktail, so she mainly followed him in hopes of the white warrior noticing her ? this was beautiful, great job to all the animators !💞

I adore this MAP. Sleekwhisker has always been one of my favorite characters from warriors, (which definitely needs more female villains!) and I love how this gives her character more depth and shows her vulnerability. The animators all did an incredible job, and the concept is spot-on! Bravo!
