Jordan, I found you through Keisha over at A Book Like You; she recommended your channel, saying that you have a certain way about you when you talk about books, and she is absolutely right! Your videos are stunning; it’s clear you’re comfortable in front of the camera, and I can’t wait to see what you have planned for the remainder of 2024 and beyond! 📖📚
I looooveed Bride. I think I went in with relatively low expectations bc I saw mixed reviews... And I loved it so much. I loved the found family. I loved the characters esp Ana. I loved the main characters, the friendships and the relationships. I also loved the plot and mystery, as well as, the world building. I just loved it all!!! Ali Hazelwood is my second fave romance author. I gave all of her books 5 stars bc I think her humor is second to none. But I'm not sure you'd love the humor and language. 🤷🏼♀️ They also Def have some spicy scenes. I still need to read Check and Mate and The Love Hypothesis.
Thank you for all the content warnings! I am also kind of the same with thrillers. I theoretically like them, but I am so picky and can’t deal with the assault. Have you ever tried Jaime Jo Wright? She does Christian thriller romance books. I really enjoy the couple I have read.
I have one of her books on my tbr shelf. I need to try it when I am in the mood for a thriller instead of all these “trending” ones I end up not liking 😂
Yay a new Jordan video! I absolutely loved The Happy Ever After Playlist! I have been working through the Boys of Tommen series so I can read Gibsies book. Do you plan on reading Redeeming 6 before Taming 7? 💙
I feel the same way about strong language in books where it distracts me so much to the point where I can’t get fully into the plot, and I’m a plot driven reader so that’s a problem 😅
I was worried you wouldn’t like Bride at all because of the smut, glad you enjoyed! Love, Theortically and the Love Hypothesis by Ali are my favorites by her!
Great video as per usual 😊 I love how much I agree with your point of views of books....like some smut is tolerated and cursing only in war/fantasy books but anything else is a no go. My favorite books for March were Say You Swear and also My Lucky Charm. So excited for Raya's story. I didn't know it would be coming out this year. I thought maybe next year or so
Every time someone has a vague and weird reaction to the spice in Bride, it makes me not want to read it. 🙂 i have not read Mariana Zapata yet, however i am very intrigued.
If you haven’t tried any books at all from her yet then you really should prioritize it! Start with My Phony Valentine! Her books are perfectly sweet, swoony, but clean 😍
