These are so cute! I just bought the bundle :) I don't have a sublimation printer so I'll be making decals from Waterslide paper for the mugs instead.

Beautiful designs and so practical. Coffee, tea and hot Cocoa all work for the next 6 months as fall and winter cycle through. Great for family reunions, family events and cookie swaps. Since I am on a budget, any recommendations for a sublimination printer or converted sublimination printer? I wish I could afford the Sawgrass printer, but not right now.

Don't worry! We are here to help! 😊 Well maybe you can just use what you have? If you are using a Cricut, have you tried waterslide decals or vinyl on mugs?

I don't have a sublimation printer either and it's not in my budget right now. I use waterslide decal paper that I get on Amazon. I use the clear and my mugs come out great. They will have a bit of an outline from where you trim around the design so you want to be a bit fussy when cutting it out but after you bake the mug in the oven as per the instructions with the paper, it's really not very noticeable.

What kind of paper do you use for printing into the mug? Also do you use a circut machine or a printer to make your design for the mug?

I use truepix classic sublimation paper and I print my design on Sawgrass SG500 sublimation printer.

I just saw a press on Amazon called The Pioneer Works mug press and it looks very similar to the Cricut mug press. Will it work as well?

Hi Carrie! You can use butcher paper to help protect the ink from going through to the press, but we haven't had any issues with the True Pix Classic!
