There are over 100 locks in the Province of Ontario. The Rideau Canal Waterway (World Heritage Site) has 47 that cover 202 kms from Kingston to Ottawa. It is an engineering marvel that was opened in 1832 and was built as a precaution just in case the USA decided to invade - again. The Trent -Severn Waterway has 44 locks and is located in the Muskoka area which you would have drove through on your way to Niagara. And there are others including the Welland Canal.

Glad to hear Scout's Heart Worm free. I never stop at 'Road Side Attractions' either but wish i did --- always in a hurry to get to whatever destination --- So in this case Howard has the right idea to sometimes stop.. Need to try and make myelf do the same during my next trip

Amazing right?! We had no idea! The story has a few more twists and turns if you look into it, but it was a lot to try to condense down for the video. Really fascinating. Hello ya'll. Great news on the pups, nothing serious. I've been quiet with comments the last couple of weeks, my beloved husband and I were sick with allergies. The ragweed here in Missouri was HORRIBLE this year. Now that the hard frost came, the ragweed is kapootst until next year. Great video, enjoyed my sherbet while ya'll had your icecream. It's all good.❤👍❤

Such great news about Scout! My Oz had Lyme and also angioplasmosis. The Angio is not horrible. He never showed any symptoms. He will always pop a slight positive for Lyme now but he's doing just fine. Looking forward to what your next adventures will be! Stay safe!

Great news on Scout! So fun to watch boats going up & down in locks - we have seen locks in a few places - super fun in Scotland. The best is the lock replacement there, The Falkirk Wheel.

Geeze, you two! I’ve been binge watching your last few videos, as have been so busy! I have missed you guys, with your terrific tours of some of the most beautiful places you can imagine, and these last three def don’t disappoint! We have been planning several trips in our Navion “Lucy”, and def want to visit Canada again. Really interesting about the locks…we took a river cruise back in 2014, which went through about 100 locks. It was from Budapest, Hungary to Amsterdam, The Netherlands. There’s quite a bit of engineering that goes into building them. QUESTION: Do you travel with your dinette table up? I noticed it up in two videos before this one, when you were taking off. We made a mistake and did so on our first trip and it broke the leg piece that holds it in place! Ever sin e then, after having it fixed at the dealer, we always lower the table before we take-off. Thanks as always for great scenery, comedy/entertainment, beautiful photography, Nd for being such a fun couple! My Best Always, Virginia❤️. OH AND I’M SO HAPPY SCOTT IS FREE AND CLEAR OF HEART WORMS! Fabulous news!
Hi Virginia!! Oh gosh! We've never had that problem with our dinette table, we've actually on put it down maybe a handful of times in the past 3.5 years. It locks in place pretty good, and since it's our office we need to have it up. Sorry that happened to you guys!! But glad you got it fixed. Yes, Canada is so beautiful!
