I swear your dad makes aaaaall the recipes I grew up on having Sunday dinners in Chinatown LA. I've since moved to a city that doesn't have the culinary depth of LA so I've had to learn to cook all of them myself and this channel has been my savior lol.
Yes yes yes!!! Me too. The subtitles are amazingly helpful to brush up on my Cantonese. Absolutely love every video from this wonderful channel!!!!!!!! 👍
Grew up in HK and because of Daddy Lau, I now have his recipes always by my side. My ABC wife of 38 yrs loves when I experiment with the recipes. Thanks.
Please tell your parents thank you for me! Their insight on how to make produce last longer has helped me a lot and saved me some money! I like to cook, and I appreciate the knowledge in the videos when it comes to picking the right meat, the marinades and cooking techniques. Big thanks for Atlanta, Ga!
Great video! Tomato noodles (tomato Mee) is also very popular in Kuching, Malaysia. We also do Tomato Kway Teow. The steaming vs boiling noodles is really helpful, I think that's why most people fail when they try to make this.
Can you please do baby clams in black bean sauce? Or chicken feet? I’ve tried a few of your recipes and love it. Would love to learn how to cook the mentioned items. Can’t seem to find a good recipe to cook that for my mom. Many thanks.
They always ask “crispy noodle?” at Chinese restaurants in Vancouver. I love making what I call the noodle cake. Interested to try beef and tomato topping- never had it. Love your content 🙏
Abit late but note! Don’t use cherry tomatoes if u want it more tangy as those can be sweeter. Also some may add a splash of vinegar for a sour note, but avoid doing so as much as possible the first time as it can be hard to balance. Ketchup sauce is sour cause of added vinegar inside 😊

You must go to a secret Chinese restaurant with all the Chinese people to get the real stuff. In the new territories, I had the best food ever. There was a yellow cake after. Unbelievably good and not sweet. I want to see whole fish in brown and garlic sauce with onion. Easy enough but I want to see what Mr, Lau does.
Tasted awesome. The only minor health and safety rule I noticed is dad put the cooked been where he put the raw beef. Usually no big deal but not a good safety practice Unless I have it totally wrong here. Dad's recipes are always scrumptious. I want to learn to make duck his way. Shang Kang kao ya.
They’re going to be awarded an big golden play button soon. The golden play button is much bigger and is way heavier than the silver play button. They be making around $10,950-$173,375/year or $30-$475/day currently if YT is their job.
I was looking for a wok and wanted a little bit larger one than the one in the links. I just noticed the wok he uses in all these videos is the one from Ranch 99. I recognize that green stripe. So it holds up ok? Anybody else use this one?
I think you missed an important part. You wrote “ke chiap” but forgot to mention it was a mix of fish and tomatoes. Think about it. In Cantonese how do you say “tomato juice”? - “ke chiap”
To be less oil & more healthy, can you put the cooked noodles in an Air Fryer for Browning? Air Fryer is a morden day gadget, your dad may not know how to take advantage!?
I agree. Some Chinese cooks will soak the beef in a baking soda and water solution overnight to tenderize and then wash the baking soda out under the tap and then marinate the beef with seasonings before cooking.
Woooow, soooo coool you!!!! Here is Alisa from Keecowsocks ( We producing sport socks for skiing/hiking/running/working). Want to support you some good socks for your fantastic sharing!!!!
