Hey guys, Nadia Dyson here from Discover 365 Antigua and Barbuda magazine! Today, we’re on the stunning west coast of Antigua at the beautiful Ffryers Beach. We’ve heard that Dennis’s Bar and Restaurant serves the best goat curry on the island, so we had to come and check it out. Let’s dive in! 🌴🍛
Welcome to Dennis’s:
As soon as we arrived, we were greeted warmly. The view here is absolutely breathtaking-one of the best in Antigua. Have a look!
A Bit of History:
Dennis’s Beach Bar has been around for 25 years, becoming a staple for both locals and tourists. It’s known for its incredible food and vibrant events.
Special Nights at Dennis’s:
- Friday Nights: Enjoy a barbecue and bonfire on the beach with a menu featuring roast suckling pig, kebabs, and more. Dance the night away with a DJ until around 9 PM (or later!).
- Sunday Afternoons: Live band performances from 1 to 3 PM. It’s the perfect way to end your weekend with great music and delicious food.
Daily Operations:
The restaurant is open from 10 AM to 6 PM on other days, providing a perfect spot for lunch or an early dinner. Sun loungers are available on the beach, and you can get drinks at the bar and enjoy them on the loungers!
Our Experience:
We had the pleasure of trying two popular dishes: the pan-fried red snapper with creole sauce and the famous goat curry. Both were absolutely delicious. The goat curry, in particular, stood out with its tender meat and rich flavours.

The staff here are fantastic and love working at Dennis’s. We even met their adorable cat! It’s clear this place has a great vibe and a welcoming atmosphere.

- Goat Curry: A must-try, full of flavour and incredibly tender.
- Friday Night Bonfires: BBQ, DJ, and beachside service make for an unforgettable experience.
