I had some free time before my vacation, so I decided to compare all of my ereaders to help anyone that's thinking of buying their first one or even adding one to their collection! I probably missed a lot of talking points, so don't be afraid to ask down below! I'll try to answer them.💗 ~ Also, what have y'all been reading lately? I only picked a few books out that I enjoyed reading these past few months. I'm currently reading the new release of the 'King of Sin' series and 'the serpent & the wings of night '. ~ I'm currently having my brother test out his kobo clara so I can finish up the review on that video for ya'll!
How are you liking your Bigme now that it's been a while? Currently trying to decide between this or the Boox Go Color 7 but nervous about some issues I've read.
i got a white boox palma now and i love it so much. they gave me a free case and its a clear matte case. they didnt say what kind of case id get so i was quite happy to get it! excited to put stickers and design in the case soon haha
Traded my Kindle Oasis for a Kobo Libra 2 last fall, and recently got the Kobo Libra Colour. I love the page turn buttons. That said, the Palma is very appealing. If it did come with eSIM support, I'd get it immediately and replace my current phone.
Yess good choice!! Yeah, I don't really want to use an epaper phone as my main driver, but I can see why people want to. I wonder if their gonna release a new version next year! A lot of people want the next one to come with an e-sim slot and with color!
As someone that only ever had B&N Nooks, last year I upgraded from the Nook HD to the Glowlight 4 and unfortunately I just wasn’t a fan. So I took the leap and bought the kindle PW and I LOVE it! It’s the perfect device for me to read books, manga, and LNs. I also just purchased the Boox Palma for travel, reading in bed, and just overall replacing mindless scrolling with reading and I’m so excited for it to come!
I loved your video, keep up the great work! I have been very interested in what the differences are between some of these ereaders and while the Boox palma caught my attention due to the bluetooth capability (linking a wireless 3 button page tuner) I just cant get over the price. The Palma is almost $300 when the priciest kindle (paperwhite signature) is $189. I get it to a certain extent the Palma has a camera, youtube and game connectivity so it does have more functions than any kindle. But for just reading purposes and nothing else the price is still too high. If it was $150 that would be more reasonable. I don't need a light and camera on my ereader, thats what I have a phone for. It would also get great if kindle had a color option in their future models.
How's your experience with the kindle app on boox and bigme? Boox page and bigme one is almost the same price where I leave, but I'm torn between these two. Sometimes I want the pen, then again I might only use pocketbook or kindle app which won't support the pen 😓 Which one will you keep if you were told to only have one?
I haven't had any issues with using the Kindle app on neither devices! I'm actually thinking of selling the boox page, so I can get the kobo libra 2. Now that I have the bigme b751c, I find no need for the boox page anymore. I personally LOVE it even though I don't annotate that much because it can tiring and I just want to sit and read without overthinking too much on taking notes.
I have a kindle paperwhite, but I haven’t used it in a while. I’ve been so busy with work and school so I haven’t had much free time to read. I’m going to give my kindle a makeover to get me excited to start using it again. It’s really cool to see all the new different e-readers that have been coming out. I haven’t been reading enough to justifying buying a new one though lol. Thanks for the comparison and the book recs at the end!
Yeah there's no need for more than one if you don't read as often qnf if you're stuck or just used to the kindle ecosystem, but I always recommend an ereader that runs on andriod, so that way you can still access the kindle app!💗💗 thank you so much for watching and commenting as always!🥹 I appreciate you!!
I got the Palma I intended to use it for Spotify and kindle/audible but the music turns off when you put it on sleep. (I wanted to listen to music while reading. So I guess it still works. Other than that I love it. It’s the perfect size I can fit it in every bag and my back pocket. The battery life is pretty good for me. Love it.
BOOX just announced the Go Color 7, and I'm eyeing that one. It doesn't appear to have a dark mode, though, and I exclusively read on dark mode. Might wait to see what other color options release this year. For now, I'm using an old Fire 7 (9th Gen).
If it ain't broken, don't fix it!! People over at tiktok think I'm trying to promote over consumerism, but I'm not. One is enough, but I know a lot of people upgrade and keep their older ones and grow a collection over time. With that being said, I've always wanted a nook ereader since I was young, but I haven't been hearing good things about it AT ALL! If the palma EVER goes on sale, I'd say go for it! You can access your kobo and B&N books all in one device!

I used to be kind of the same with mobile phones (and I made sure to buy refurbished/pre owned whenever available and found something that works perfectly for me) so I get wanting to try out different things. My Paperwhite (not signature) is waterproof with 32gb of storage, and I realized recently that they took that away in recent models and made them a signature exclusive! But yeah, the Glowlight is very... :/ I love the color on it- I got the pearl pink one because I could NOT stop thinking about it, and unfortunately I'm just pretty underwhelmed. The page turn buttons are nice, and the battery life is amazing! I think what turns me off about it is that I was already pretty deep into the Kindle ecosystem when I purchased it and I realized how expensive it would be to try and get my library together. I will say that the refresh rate is a bit smoother than my Kindle, but even then- my Kindle is just fine! It's awesome to know that the Boox devices are so versatile :3
if i can get the kindle paperwhite for 100$ on prime day, like in the past, it feels like an easy option for me! being able to send epubs and library books from my phone is so easy with kindle, and i really hate dealing with cables. besides i'm usually a prime member, and could definitely build up that credit!

I honestly wasn't big e-reader fan, but now after I have my 7inch with me about a year, I started to read much more, and now I want second book, bot with bigger 10,3 inch display, also to take notes inside, I thought you could recommend one of those. i wanted an e-reader until finding out my Lenovo Tab M9 had a greyscale mode for reading. only bought it since my iPad is too large for trips. Still might get the palma
¿what are the best features of the boox page? I would love to know your opinion because I'm trying to choose between this or some other cheaper(English isn't my first lenguaje,sorry for my bad writing skills)
I don't have a scribe. I have to look up if the calibre software will work with the paperwhite, but those are still some extra steps that you have to go through with the kindle. Other ereaders you can just connect it with a cable and that's it! Not saying it's a hard process it's just that amazon should allow options that you don't have to look up tutorials or the web to know how you can transfer books if it's not through Amazon directly if that makes sense!💗
@@nananajiglo.2743 the calibre works with all Kindle models, but also I've always been able to transfer files directly through cable by just connecting my Kindle to a PC and going on the documents folder. You just have to check that the file is in one of the accepted formats, such as epub, othersiw you'd need to convert it using Calibre.
Just watching to know why people love to collect e-readers. From what I understand from your video, “they have limits” huh 🙂 I only have a kindle ppw 3. I’m super satisfied with it. It is limited for sure and that’s basically why I love it bc it’s for reading only and it will not distract me. It’s simple. It serves its sole purpose.
Unfortunately that technology doesn’t exist yet. E-ink displays have very slow refresh rates in comparison to traditional screens. All e-ink devices will “flicker” a bit
So far, it's been scratch free even with me wearing nails! I got some cases from tudia on amazon! I made reel on it and that's what I've been using lately!
If you had to pick though between boox and bigme, which would you pick? I'm leaning towards bigme, but unsure if the software is good. Theres not enough reviews/info on it like Boox.
There are mixed reviews on the bigme about it crashing a lot, but I haven't had that issue. I like the bigme more because of the pen, and that isn't as expensive as boox products with a stylus

I am thinking about switching away from kindle but not being able to take all my kindle books with me or not being able to use libby has been a drawback. So the boox with the android OS is calling to me we'll see how I feel later lol
I absolutely get it! Check out the boox go if you get the chance to! Comes in color as well with a similar button design. I think it even goes for the price or close to it.💗💗
Aww what a lovely video!! ^^ I'm really considering getting the Boox Palma (as my own Christmas present 🙈), but I'm not sure if I should wait/if there'll be a release of one with the SIM card slot eventually (I already bought a Xiaomi pad 5 tabled before a better and cheaper one got announced 🙈), because I'm one of the people who'd love to use it instead of my phone (especially while I'm at school )🙈 I'm also not dure what would it be like reading on such a small device and which e-reader to choose overall! I need it to be an Android device that can play audiobooks using my favourite app (I'll be using it as a MP3 player as well), has backlight and is white + has white bazels, which is fairly difficult to find :// I struggle with having inverted after images after everything I look at and can better see through the "dark shadow" of things than the "light ones" black items are leaving behind ✨ Anything will be an update tho, I'm still using my Kindle Paper White 7th gen (2015) haha 💗 Edit: What would you do, please? 🍀

You can even add a sim in the last time I checked, so stay tuned! I think it's the same price as the palma. @@-_....-stars-...._- yeah the more I’ve been keeping up with the reviews it seems mixed and it’s hard to ignore. I’m not sure if some units are just faulty and others are fine because Alyssareads on yt received it for a review to, but it keeps crashing on her😢 the b751c is one the best ereaders with a pen at a decent price so it sucks!
@@nananajiglo.2743 Oh really? I have been looking at it for a few months and the poke5 is available for me to order in the US! I wish it was waterproof…. I basically want everything a kindle paperwhite can do but in 6in, the poke does so much more but I have no experience with kobo but hear great things about both so I have been stuck 😅

I've got kindle ppw and scribe, fire 7 and 8, pocketbook era, kobo libra 2. But now I'm looking at bigme and boox. I like the idea that ALL of my reading apps can all be found on one device and still sync with the respective ereaders when I want to pick one of those up.
