Female gorilla Komomo turned 14 on Nov.14th, 2023.
Komomo is silverback Haoko's first offspring, and for Momoko, she is her first child in 9 years since Momotaro.
Komomo is a beautiful gorilla like her mother Momoko.
Komomo actively wanted to take care of baby sister Sumomo when Sumomo returned to the troop after 1 year-long bottle feeding.
As the other gorillas approach, Komomo moves away with Sumomo.
Komomo is good at taking care of her younger siblings.
Komomo has a habit of putting her right hand on her face.
Some visitors say it looks like Komomo is making a phone call.
But Komomo rarely does it when she is with Sumomo.
Especially for the first 2 months since Sumomo's return to the troop,
Sumomo had been attached to Komomo the most.
I bet Komomo will be an affectionate mother.
Komomo is beautiful and gentle to everyone in the troop.
