Remember the lesson of this week as you described it, and the lesson is.... it's the journey that's the real treasure.... the people, the experiences, the environment. Carry that understanding through in your writings, and it will help you create that in your stories. Congratulations!
Congratulations! It seems like a fun thing to experience, not sure if we have anything like it here in the UK; my social anxiety would get me before anything though lol I don't really have many people to talk to about my writing - one of my friends in Canada is a young author (we met through me reviewing one of hers and she's been super supportive of me since) but a lot of my friends are more like "that's great, can't wait to read it" but I'm always like b-but I wanna gush about my characters and world and everything :') My author buddy said she doesn't want spoilers lol
I FEEL YOU! As an introvert I had to work really hard to get out of my comfort zone and meet people in the MFA. Writer friends are hard to find, but when you find them they are absolute gold. ✨
Graduation is so bittersweet, but it must also be exciting to start a new chapter in your life! I agree with you so much that writer friends are true jewels, I’m so glad that you’ve found a group :) On another note, all these vlogs of yours that I’ve watched are so impressive and well put together, can I ask what equipment/software you used or your general process of going about making these vlogs? Big hugs from a fellow writer and fan!
Hi! I've only read a couple of Le Guin's novels (Lavinia & The Left Hand of Darkness) and some of her short stories, but I really love what I've read so far! Do you have any recommendations?
@@olivia.grace.cook. check out the Earthsea series for fantasy and The Dispossessed for political economics. I wish I could tell you I have a favorite, but they're all my favorites.
Congratulations! Amazing experience - to see that, in creative writing, which can be such a solitary occupation, this program manages to nurture these mindsets of collaborative brainstorming, (giving and receiving) constructive criticism, and seeking mentorship.
