Welcome to another episode of the "Life and Loss" podcast, brought to you by Forest Holme Hospice Charity in Poole, Dorset. In this episode, Kathy, a counsellor at Forest Holme Hospice, discusses the personal journeys of those who are dying.
She explains how different people cope and whether they find hope and joy on their journey, as well as offering insight into how people can feel about hearing commonly used phrases such as ‘being brave’ and ‘fighting cancer’.

Forest Holme Hospice provides palliative and end-of life-care and support to more than 1,500 people each year across Poole, Wimborne and the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset with advanced cancer and other life-limiting illnesses such as Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson’s, heart disease and respiratory illness.
Forest Holme Hospice Charity was set-up to ensure that everyone in the local community affected by a life-limiting illness or bereavement gets the care and support they need, either at home or in our dedicated hospice facility.
