I think if i had to choose between both it would be more about use cases, general usability and versatility than about image quality. They make both great images for their price point.
Agreed, I like having the macro option, and prefer 35mm for a talking head shot. But usually 28mm for everything else and it's been a good compromise for me.
Question, do you feel it’s worth the time, energy and money to move over from the 24-105mm F4 L EF lens to the R version of the same lens? Same question for the 70-200mm F4 L. I have the R and RP bodies.
If it were me, and I already had the EF versions, I would probably be waiting for the RF mark ii's of these to see if they offer drastic improvement. Adapting is not ideal for the form factor reason, but continues to work well on everything I've tried myself.
