Back then, Michael Jackson bought a music catalog that had some (not many) Elvis songs. it was a catalog of various musicians. a catalog that Paul McGagney actually wanted to buy from the Beatles. It had nothing to do with Lisa Marie. Lisa Marie never owned 90% of Elvis Presley's music rights, but RCA. Elvis Presley sold most of his music rights back then. What many people don't know (Forbes magazine said it three years ago): "When the Forbes list says who is the richest dead person, only a small part of Elvis Presley's music rights (10%) are included because they are Elvis heirs have few music rights (10%). In the list - the richest dead - only the income that the heirs actually inherited makes the real profit from Elvis Presley music the list!" For Michael Jackson, all of his income is included in the Forbes list, even the income that has nothing to do with his music. Because Michael Jackson's heirs inherited everything. Forbes himself said that.

I don’t know where you got your information from, but it is really suspect! For instance, how can Sade Adu; who was only a singer and virtually a one-hit wonder at that and ceased preforming not long after her hit, be worth more than than Freddie Mercury who had many mega hits, performed all over the world and wrote many of Queen’s hits. Very suspect!

I think the maker of this video has confused the singer Robert Palmer with a business man of the same name, who owns a company called RP Values. He's worth around $165m. While the singer's estate was worth around $10m when he died.

Majority of those faces had wealth from the music industry when album sales of vinyl, cassette and CD was it. The digital, streaming, apple ipod age of internet downloads killed the earning potential. Now its just singles for pennies. And as the gentleman below me mentioned, the wealth was oft from other investments.

I don't believe you. On another video of the best guitarists, you had Johnny Cash worth 200 mil. On this one only 60 mil. Johnny Cash wasn't much of a guitarist to begin with. He was a super talented performer and songwriter/singer, but he just played chords on the acoustic. No lead.
